Anybody here from Indiana?

On this page from Truck Camper Adventure, it says that IN is one of the few states that require TCs to be both titled and registered. However, I have scoured the IN BMV website and it talks about trailers, watercraft, and off-road vehicles, but no mention of TCs.

Any here live in IN with a TC that can give me first hand info? Asking for a friend.

I have just bought a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd with a 1972 Huntsman 880 Custom TC the guy I purchased it from said he had no paperwork for the camper so I was wondering how I go about registering it or whatever in the state of Indiana the only place I have seen anything is on this site.

I sent an email to the BMV.
Their response "A device without motive power that is installed in the bed of a truck to provide living quarters for persons traveling on a highway (under Indiana law) is not required to be titled however, it is required to be registered"

Agreed and looking for folks with 1st hand experience. Seems rules have changed and data source now unreliable.

Howdy Burbman,
I'm from Indiana. When we bought our Lance back in 2013 time frame I think I looked up on the BMV website and it said I should register the truck camper. I don't remember seeing anything about a title. I didn't get a title with ours.

I also just looked at the BMV website and don't any mention of truck campers now.
