Ft. Leonard Wood, MO - where to camp?
My son is in basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood. If weather permits, we would like to camp there when he graduates. Any suggestions of campgrounds? Thanks.

We stayed at the Mountaineer Campground in Townesend a few weeks ago. Very peaceful. Would definitely recommend.

Just got home from first trip of the season. Stayed at the Mountaineer Campground. Great place and will definitely be returning. Area is known as "the quiet side of the Smokie Mountains". Beautiful town and close to park entrance

We had a hybrid for many years when our boys were the same ages as yours. We ran the a/c or just the fan to keep the campground noise inside to a minimum.
