When did Idaho, Montana and Nevada ban it for 5th wheels? I couldn't find any source on-line that states that those States ban double (or triple, whatever someone wants to call it) towing with 5th wheels (Swivel trailers are only for use behind 5th wheels not travel trailers). I drove all through Montana in 2013 with my Swivel Wheel without an issue. Sad if it has changed. How much wieght do the 2 tires absorb on the swivel wheels. If I loaded a 1000 lb. bike on it how much of that 1000 lbs. is actualy added to the 5th wheel frame?Re: Motorcycle towing? No the days of towing as described are about gone except for dirt bikes. BTW taking the belt off to tow would take the efforts of shop to take off and replace. Yes I do, I was just saying what I saw on HWY. 101 last week. The guy was pulling a bagger just the way I described. And it was as new as mine, so it was a belt drive. Yes I'm finding that out. I think for me the swivelwheel is the only way to go. Hopefully it is considered a "Frame exstension" and not a trailer. Not a bad price either. I guess that would be considered a extra trailer since it has one tire? MelRe: Motorcycle towing? SidecarFlip wrote: I do motorcycle shows with my sidecar outfit and I pull mine on a 3 rail single axle trailer. I also use it to haul my quads. I would be leery about hauling a bike with the back tires on the pavement, especially back there where you cannot see it. Tire failure (on the bike tire) could be catastropic. Yeah that concerned me also. But whatever I get I'll buy a camara also so I can see what's going on back there. MelMotorcycle towing?Trying to figure a way to tow my 900 Lb. Harley behind my 32' Montana 5th wheel. I saw a trailer towing a motorcycle with the front wheel ub in carrier and rear tire on pavement. They are always "On" - the screen saver may be actuated, but the receiver itself is On. ( The receiver actually draws the same amount of power in either mode - making it a large parasitic load when in "Standby." The receiver is ALWAYS comparing the Guide or programming schedule to your list of scheduled recordings and starting and stopping active recording or tuning as scheduled. Well the wally receivers I have have a on off button. In fact after I realized that the main receiver didn't have to be on to watch the other receiver in the bedroom I unplugged my main receiver and T.V. I always did before satellite because we're running off of solar. Mel
