We probably will either go to Camping World in Tampa or Hitch King in St Pete.Towing Equipment installation St Petersburg or Tampa areaHas anyone used a service dealer in the St Petersburg or Tampa area to install a base plate and set up a tow vehicle for towing? Do you recommend any dealers in the area? It needs to be a Roadmaster set up because we already have the Sterling tow bar we use on our 2000 Grand Cherokee and now bought a 2014 Cherokee. The Cherokee would need to be set up for the Brakemaster breaking system also. Would actually like someone in the St Petersburg area if possible.Re: Questionable Sales Tactic by LazydaysWe purchased our first and only class A motor home in 1999 from Lazy Days. We knew we only wanted a used Foretravel and had been talking to people in other parts of the country who had ones for sale. Since this was 15 years ago I don't remember all the detail but I know we put a deposit down on one that was being traded in and wasn't delivered yet. We did receive several photos of it ahead of time. There were so few Foretravels available anywhere in our price range we were glad to have a chance at the 1993 U280 they had coming in. It was a refundable deposit. I think we would have missed out of this wonderful motorhome if we didn't handle it this way. When there were a few problems after we took delivery they fixed them. 15 years later we still have the coach and the Foretravel Service people in Nacadoches still support us when we have problems or questions. In a few years we will purchase a newer Foretravel if we decide to fulltime.Re: Dash A/C shutting offThank You Wolfe10, I don't think I am translating very well for my husband but here is some additional info. 1. Blower motor works on high speed but cycles on & off because circuit breaker is tripping and is over heating. ???? (bought new circuit breaker but haven't installed yet. 2. One condenser fan does not work. (haven't bought or replaced yet) 3. Blower motor resistor rusted out and needs replacing. He took it to NAPA but they weren't able to identify the correct one yet. I think I found an equivalent one online though-----(ACDELCO 15-71968)Re: Dash A/C shutting offWell so far we found out we need to replace one condenser fan. We also need to replace the blower motor resistor but are trying to identify the resistor part number. The only thing we can read on it is INDAK. The AC unit is a Frigi-Cool. We did receive a schematic from Foretravel but it doesn't identify the resistor type. Does anyone know what might have been used in a 1993 Foretravel?Re: Dash A/C shutting offFan shuts offDash A/C shutting offWell I'm asking this question for my husband and I don't have much info to ask the question. We own a 1993 U280 Foretravel and the dash A/C runs for awhile and then shuts off. Anyone have any ideas of what the problem could be?Re: New Cherokee & pressure pro tire monitorsThank You for your responses. We don't have our Cherokee Lattitude set up for towing yet because we are still towing our 2000 Grand Cherokee. At least we know now the tire monitors will work fine when we get it ready for towing. We love driving the Cherokee and it seems a big upgrade for us since we haven't bought a car in 14 years.New Cherokee & pressure pro tire monitorsWe just bought a 2014 Cherokee as a towable and want to still use our pressure pro sensors even though the Cherokee already has a tire monitor system. We want to monitor the tires from the motor home of course. Should we be able to use these sensors without causing a problem with the OEM tire monitoring system? If we don't use the pressure pro sensors on the Cherokee is there a way to monitor the tires from the motor home using the OEM system like maybe an app on the smart phone or something else reasonable?Re: ThunderShirt" for Pet AnxietyWe have a big black lab who is scared of thunder and lightning but not fireworks and loud noises. He just developed this problem in the last couple of years. When I explained this to our vet he told us the Stormdefender jacket might work better on him than the thundershirt so we bought one. Our vet said it is the static electricity that is probably his problem. The stormdefender jacket has a metallic lining that I guess helps do something with the static electricity. It works sometimes but not other times, but in any case he seems to like the jacket. When I started this post I heard some thunder and he came over to me panting. I put his jacket on and he is now sleeping like a baby. There have been other times though where nothing helps him and he hides in the closet or becomes a giant lap dog.
