While it was at the shop I had them pull that tire and rim and replace it with the spare till the new tire arrives, now while the pulled it they checked the brakes and said they were fine on the front axel. But the bare wire I found were on the rear axel? Guess ill be calling back in tomorrow to have them check the rear if they haven't already today.Re: New Fuzion with brake problemsThat was step #1, they opened all junction boxes and thats where they found the bare marrett. I'm being told they have to go down the keystone check list one by one before they can drop the belly and check it out.Re: New Fuzion with brake problemsI'll have them check the breakaway as well? I suppose it could be the two issues at once, but I've never had the brakeaway trip on me before. When it's engaged is it just fully on or is there a point where it engages?New Fuzion with brake problemsSo on the way to our last camping trip I noticed my gas mileage going out the widow, before I would avg 19-22L/100km(sorry that's what we do up here in Canada) and 3/4 of the way my mileage went up to 30L/100km and my P3 controller started telling me I had no brakes and there was an "input overload". Now this would come and go every 2-10 min and stay on for 20-60sec, it was enough to pull over and reconnect the factory controller in the dodge just in case it was the P3. It wasn't the case, the dash would blink and tell me to check trailer wiring and no brakes. When I got to location I found one of the lines to the rear axle was out enough that it rubbed on the rim and was possibly grounding on the brake drum, so I taped it up and figured problem solved right? NO On the return trip same issue and same excessive fuel consumption as well, mind u I did have a full load and 2 Harley's in the back. So I get home unloaded everything and took it to the stealership for the check up. They also found 1 marrett connection in a junction box which the plastic cover had come off. Problem solved right....NO Picked it up tonight after they had closed got it about 20 miles and the "no brakes" flashed in and then back out, so I pulled a 180 and back to drop it off again and on the rest of the way I quickly lost the brakes twice. As I pulled into their parking lot one of the salesmen was unloading a boat so we had a chat and it turns out he actually went for the ride along when they tested it out. He said in the Ford they were pulling it quickly said trailer disconnected and they thought nothing of it! I mean really?... So now I wait till tomorrow and see what happens. I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of the brakes shorting and dragging slightly, because after unloading it on the way to the dealer and even the back and forth it still seams to be pulling like the brakes might be dragging?Re: Deep discount on 1 model year old TH?my suggestion would be to wait untill the fall if you can, that'll be when the '14's start to roll in and they WANT to get rid of the '13's and usualy at a much lower cost. We picked up our Fuzion last Oct and being it a brand new '12 model it worked out to 41% off the MSRP of 89K. Yes I could have gotten the color I wanted and maybe a different color sofa in a brand new one but chances are it would have cost me 10-15K more. Very happy with fall shopping. It even worked out on our Outback before this. Dealed site unseen at an RV show on last years model and when we went to look at it they only had the brand new ones which we got for the same price we agreed on.Re: Poll: Did you go larger? It took me 9 months to upgrade from the 23' Outback 230RS single TH to the 37.5' Fuzion 315. With 5 of us and the dog it came quickly cramped inside the Outback without any side slides and we went from 1 bike to 3. It was a hard pill to swallow trading in that quickly but for the amount we used it there was no other option. We get out I'd say at least 50-65 days in our short camping season and that compared to $200/night for hotels was the deal breaker.Re: First trip and need new tiresAll I could find besides the G614's were a very cheap no name brand so I figure ill play it safe on the Goodyears.Re: First trip and need new tiresCalled the tire shops around here(Fountain, Kal and OK) looks like I'll be going with 2 G614's for the time being and buy another 2 later on. All at the great price of $431 a piece, but I know u can't put a price on safety.Re: First trip and need new tires LostinAZ wrote: T-bones wrote: I defiantly need a tire that'll hold up with this unit being on 2 axles and so much weight on the 4 tires. I'm also wondering if I'd be able to get away with only buying 2 decent new ones right now and another 2 next season as I've only got 500km on them so far. We need to know what weight you are trying to carry on 4 tires. Hit the scales on the way home and with 1 bike loaded and less than 1/3 fresh water the trailers axles came to 11,500lbs, and then pin weight of 3,200lbs.Re: First trip and need new tiresI defiantly need a tire that'll hold up with this unit being on 2 axles and so much weight on the 4 tires.
