Perhaps the drive train has changed since then. The Tracker was a very dependable vehicle and very convenient for towing. I sold it to a car lot owner in Douglas, Ga and she sold it to an RVer in Pensacola, FL for a tow vehicle.Re: Roadside Assistance total JokeHi Austin, I tried and received this message: The owner of www.rv.net has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website. Thank you for your concern. My friend came to me with my pick up. I purchased a tow rope from Auto Zone and although dangerous she towed the motor home as I steered it. Thank you, Bo WalkerRe: Roadside Assistance total JokeI'm stranded up town blocking a driveway to a business. It is 12:30 PM I can't crank or move the motor home. Good Sam Roadside Assistance tells me I have to wait until tomorrow for a tow truck. I have had Good Sam Roadside Assistance for years. This is the first time I have been treated like this. I am leaving them and have accepted AAA roadside assistance at a saving of $63.00 over Good Sam Roadside Assistance. Also, I have insured the motor home and 3 other vehicles with State Farm this week and I am saving $800.00 over Good Sam Insurance. Oh well, that's just how it goes sometimes and if you think I am too negative, I really don't care.Re: tiresI run Michelin on my SUV and pickup. I used to run Michelin on the motor home until I had too many blow-outs. I now run Goodyear on the motor home and so far have had good service. I have never tried Hankook, but I have read of others being pleased with them.Re: Construction Opprtunities for full-timerHey,thanks for the responsive posts. I have considered offering to team up with an RV park to construct cabins at a savings to the park owners. Also, tiny houses are increasing in number and if someone some place wanted to make a small community of tiny houses, I could certainly help him/her accomplish that. I think a small community of tiny houses should be excellent in a college town where the kids were looking for a less expensive home for themselves or themselves and one more. Also, if somehow funded, it could be fantastic for the now homeless people.Re: Sloppy steeringThe tail might be waging. My 34' Winnebago Adventurer has me constantly steering. As soon as I move the steering wheel slightly to the left, I have to move it slightly to the right and this is constant back and forth, but, just slightly. I have thought about adding two shocks some place on the rear. I always tow a vehicle. That might have something to do with it too.Re: New to RVing, going to be full time travel nursing.Congratulations!! Like the monkey said when they cut her tail off, it won't be long now. September will slip up very soon. I hope you two have a blast.Construction Opprtunities for full-timerI am interested in RVing full-time. But, can I as a retired Florida building contractor with an active license easily find a job to work when I desires? I don't want to work for free and I don't want big jobs. I'll volunteer when and if I want. I am a pretty versatile person. I can perform several task not only building.Re: New to RVing, going to be full time travel nursing.USMCCpl, thank you for your service to our country. People like you will make our country once again great. I knew a nurse and her husband who worked as you. Except, he didn't work. They had a nice 5th wheel camper and a one ton Ford. She worked at TMH. There are two hospitals here, and Tallahassee is a pretty nice place to live. I never insulate water lines at my home or on my motor home here in Tallahassee. Some do. I have never had to replace a water line. Tallahassee RV Park is very close to I-10 and is 6.6 miles from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Capital Regional Medical Center is 4.5 miles from Tallahassee RV Park. I'm eager to know your decision.Re: Towingrdwelch2, it doesn't always make sense to us as to why things just don't start out right. At least you are facing the facts and doing the necessary things to be and feel safe on your trips. Soon you and your wife will be RVing with pride. I know you probably have already conquered the broken key problem. A while back the main door key would work in other RVs. If this is the case now, maybe you can borrow a neighbor's key. I always know if I have a break down or emergency, I will do something to take care of the problem. There is always help someplace.
