His mother was taken to the hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. Investigators believe that the fire was started by an electric heater. According to news reports, the mother was able to get out but her son was in the bedroom in the back of the RV. Please make sure that you and othrrs in your RV know how to get out of your RV by using the emergency exit/windows and that all of your methods of heating are safe. Duck and deer call lanyards, bracelets, dog collar and leashes. Pretty simple to do adn does not take up much room.Re: Anything level in BRANSON?We stayed at Branson KOA 2 weeks ago and it was great. Basic to deluxe sites and super staff. Sites were level as well. Prices varyRe: Does it make you feel uncomfortableI never post when I am heading out on a trip or while I am on the trip. I wait until I get back home. Of course if the bad guy notices that your RV is gone, then that is a tell tale that you are out on a trip. Still I try not to advertise it.Re: Still Good People aroundMinnow, it got us all the way home to :BRe: Still Good People aroundNot trying to say that there are not good people left in the world. There are still many out there and I have found a lot of them right here. The starter is on a 95 Ultrasport with Chevy 454. When we got home I turned it off and then it started right up. I will be ordering a new one or taking this one off to have rebuilt. Since I am retired and live in the heart of duck hunting country I am going to send him a custom duck call as thinks for his kindness.Still Good People aroundSaturday, we were returning from a great week in Destin, Fl and stopped in Yazoo, MS for some Mickie D's sweet tea. Got back in our class A, turned the key and got nothing! Checked all the wires and battery and all was good. Noticed an auto shop on the other end of parking lot so I walked down and talked to him. He said that he was closed on Saturdays and had just came in to finish something up but that he would check it out. Checked battery it was good. Checked wires found nothing burned or other problems. He then crawled under the RV and tapped on the starter with a hammer. RV fired right up! He spent probably 45 minutes of his time but would not charge me a dime! Just said pay it forward to someone in need. If you are ever in Yazoo, MS and have RV or Auto problems look up Chris at Cotten's auto repair. Doubt if he will see this but he was very much appreciated.Re: I am SO disappointed in Texas Parks and WildlifeMaybe forget email and just call them.Re: Arkansas State Park recommendations and things to seeVery close to Hot Springs you will find Lake Ouachita, Lake Cathrine and Lake Degray. All have beautiful camping spots and will handle your 30 footer with no problem. They are anywhere from 5 to 30 miles from Hot Springs. Crater of Diamonds state park near Murfreesboro, Arkansas is a very nice place and as already said, you can dig diamonds and keep them as well as other semi precious stones that you find. There is a small fee to do the digging. Crater of Diamonds state park is about 60 miles from Hot Springs. Hope this helps.
