You may have dead shorted the 12V power line. Ditto I found the problem. There is a fuse attached to the floor that is blown.Re: No electrical after wiring change Bird Freak wrote: What inside electrical are you referring to? If you have a battery everything should still work on 12V. I do have a battery and it is working fine. I used a voltmeter to check but I have no interior electrical power at all. The only wiring I changed was that 7 pin to 6 pin. And I did not rebook up the yellow acces wire.Re: No electrical after wiring change beemerphile1 wrote: I am really puzzled why anyone would replace the (industry standard) seven-way with a six-way, seems like a bad idea that will need changed back to a seven-way at some point. Anyhow, maybe these trailer wiring diagrams will help; https://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx I had to change it to pull behind an rv with a 6 pin connector. I am going back to a 7 pin ASAP!No electrical after wiring changeI am wondering if I missed something while rewiring my trailer harness. I converted the original 7 pin wiring harness to a 6 pin. When I did so I did not hook up the yellow accessory wire. Does that yellow wire control the electrical inside of the trailer? Must I keep the harness as a 7 pin or can I tie that yellow wire into something else on the 6 pin? You are all great! Thanks for the time!Lights crazy with HeadlightsHere is the problem i am having. My 16 foot travel trailer brake lights, blinkers, etc work completely fine when my TV headlights are not on. As soon as i turn my headlights on, none of the blinkers work, no brake lights, i just get 3 solid lights on top of the trailer (that are indeed running lights) but no other light functions work. My initial thought is open every light and look at the neutral wire in them to see if maybe one is bad. Any other opinions would be very helpful. Thanks!Re: Tacoma as TV for ECON 16RB?I have a 2006 tacoma with the TRD off road package (v6, tow package, etc). I haul a 16foot trailer that has a dry weight of 2000lbs. Last weekend we were towing in a very hilly area and the tacoma did great up hill and also down. I had a bit of worry coming down the hill as it seemed like the brakes were close to their max but i took it slow and everything was fine (I'm also a worry worm ;). I would think if your trailer has brakes on it, you would be great going with a Tacoma. I love mine. I do agree with other posters about pressing the limits of the tow ratings. I would feel more comfortable towing around 4000-4500 lbs total. Start getting past that and i think it feels a little scary.Re: What is this tube??Thank you to all who replied. I think I will remove it. I don't think i want a stinky hose in the actual camper, right under where we sleep, ill find a more suitable location and use the space for something else! Thanks again everyoneWhat is this tube??I am trying to figure out what this tube is for. It is a 3" tube, is capped on one end (in the trailer) and has a small door on the outside, as far as i can tell this is useless and is taking up valuable storage space. Trailer is a '97 Aerolite 16rk, let me know what you think, thank you very much.
