As stated find something close that has good shipping if possible. Husband sez he is sure it's a 2 phase. thanksRe: new generator time camperdave wrote: What happened to it? I know it's not what you asked, but just curious what happened that would make replacing cheaper than repairing. Well Camper Dave, It no longer will run both A/C and often not even one. We haven't found anyone here in N.Texas to work on one. It is 21 years old and when working perfect...it was loud! thanks for listing to my rant.new generator timeWe need to replace a 5000 watt, 2 phase, Onan generator in our class A. Will y'all please make some suggestions for where we should be shopping? thanks, BCNURe: Crock pot cooking while traveling?Hi, That's a great suggestion about the Thermal Cooker. We have one. We stay in areas, like Yellowstone, where there is no electricity. It is so nice to put dinner in the cooker before going out sightseeing and hot food is ready when we come in tired, chilly and hungry. Rolling down the road, thermal cooker sitting on the floor in the closet cooking dinner. No electricity, no sloshing over, no aromas, no breakage, no burns from touching the outer container and no...I'm not a seller...just a happy user. If you use a crock pot frequently check this cooker out. Ours is a Thermos brand. b c n u, bobbinailRe: Would you rent your RV if you could earn $15,000/yr?Yeah, 'bout as quick as I'd rent out my new baby boy to a couple wanting to take him outta state on a vacation, for practice time, before they decide to get one of their own. bcnu, bobbinailRe: our fridge quitOP here and I appreciate the info and suggestions I've gotten so far. Yes, there is plenty of propane and it was on. The unit is sitting on a cement floor that is level. Yup, she is "worth it to us" what ever the "it" is. Our 18 year old has taken us from Florida to Alaska and from the E. to the W. coast and most points between. Never been wrecked, good tires kept on her, properly maintained, looks good on the outside and the inside. If the fridge is a goner she will get a new one. Now that the health issues are conquered, we are planning a trip. Any more suggestions? We do appreciate all your help. thanks, Nell in Texasour fridge quitHi, We need some suggestions about our fridge/freezer. It's in a class A Winnebago, 18 years old, Narcold brand, never given us any problems before and we Do Not smell ammonia. The rig hasn't been driven in a couple of years. It's kept in it's 3 sided garage and used for company, but the fridge has been running. We keep extra food out there. Last week when we went out there to get something we found the fridge/freezer was off and the meat was ruined. Big clean-up. Last nite He turned it on electricity again and this am it's cooling and making frost. Could lightning storms be part of this? We sure have had a lot of them. Perhaps we should toss that one out and buy another one...maybe the innards of the beast need to be vacuumed and cleaned or just replaced. thanks a lot, Nell in TexasRe: Eating at a picnic tableHey, Everything we are going to use at our picnic goes into a basket and out to the table in one trip. Don't forget the hand sanitizer! Some of the surprises waiting for you under the table top and benches could be scorpions, spiders, or wasp nest. Check 'em out! BCNU bobbinailRe: HobbiesHi, The kind of hobbies to get involved with will depend a lot on the kind of things you enjoy and the type of camping you do. I do a lot of sewing but we spend summers mostly in areas without electricity. I take my hand cranked Singer machine and attachments. How about hand embroidery, piece a quilt, scrap booking, knitting, crochet, write a book, read books, make jewelry. I can spend hours loading pictures into the computer and adjusting the flaws in them with photoshop. Camp grounds without electricity allow the use of generators during assigned hours and we use these hours to charge batteries. I wish you great success in finding just the right hobbies. bcnu Nell
