The pantry, in particular seems kind of scary. What if we stop fast and a can or a jar hits that glass? Has anyone ever broken the glass in a cabinet door this way? Does anyone take any particular precautions around this? TIA!Re: Recommendations for 30 -32 ft 5th wheelWe have the same quest. I'm very unhappy with the build quality of our 2013 Jayco bunkhouse fifth wheel. Nice layout, lousy execution. We are ready for a shorter, more nimble fifth wheel with multiple slides and a seriously good build. It doesn't need to look like a house, but it needs to be built to last. We are willing to pay for it. I don't follow the news in the RV world much. Is anybody making something like that?Re: telescoping ladder? Thanks for all the advice, folks. I brought one home from Lowe's today but I think it was a mistake. It says "300 lbs" on it and I took that to mean that it can support 300 lbs. But when I got it out of the car and hid it in the RV, I discovered that the gd thing WEIGHS 300 pounds. I think I've got to take it back and find a lighter one.telescoping ladder?I'm looking for a telescoping/folding ladder for the RV and for cartopping our kayaks and maybe for general use at home, too. I'm looking at them on Amazon and I'm a little worried about finding a good one because a number of reviews spoke of designs that would let one side suddenly collapse or maybe let the telescoping action smash fingers on the way down. Does anybody have one that they really like and that hasn't caused any bodily harm yet?Re: Kayaks in a toy hauler? Thanks!!! It does help a bunch. Now I have a pretty good clue what I need.Re: Kayaks in a toy hauler? Now you're talking. The boat that I'm most concerned about is 14'6" and heavy-ish. It's a tandem. Do you think you'd have space in your 10' bay for that or should we look strictly at longer bays? Would power bunks get in the way? Thanks for the insight.Re: Kayaks in a toy hauler? Rangerman40 wrote: I was da ing the same issue so I bought a 12ft inflatable... Works pretty well. We're pretty serious about kayaking, so we'll be using our existing boats. But thanks for the thought.Kayaks in a toy hauler? This topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 28842258Kayaks in a toy hauler? We're staring an empty nest in the eye and realizing that we may not need that bunk house much longer. We'd both prefer to keep our rig as small as possible, but I'm also interested in simplifying our kayak transportation. Does anyone have any experience at using a toy hauler for kayaks? The boat that we paddle the most is 14'6". We would most likely want to put a couple of kayaks inside the rig. Might it be possible to let the end of the boat peek through a door into the main living space? Angle it cross-wise? Has anyone done this? Thanks, Sharon
