I had a Banks tailpipe on a ford "cube", I think it lasted 2 YEARS.Re: Tongue Weight Turtle n Peeps wrote: Old-Biscuit wrote: Turtle n Peeps wrote: After designing and building a few trailers in my time I will tell you that this trailer will not tow well at all unloaded and you will have to put as much weight you can forward to get it towing well when loaded. If you don't load as much weight forward you you will have a trailer that does this going down the road. Guess you missed the last sentence in OPs 1st post The way it pulls, you would not even know you are pulling anything. No, I took that as: "I have enough HP to not even know it's there." Did I take it correctly? I have no idea? I know this, I've towed a lot of tongue light trailers in my time and every single one of them tow like the video I posted, and worse. I've seen too many people put the heavy part of the load in back of the CG and that didn't work out too well for them. That being so, I would load the trike backwards to get as much weight as forward as possible. When I got the trailer, I brought it home behind an ACADIA DENALI. Other than lousy gas mileage, the trailer pulled straight(NO SWAY). The TRIKE will have the front wheel in a CHOCK, so loading backwards is not practical. I will put more weight on the TONGUE and the chock is adjustable forward and back about 6 to 8 inches.Re: RV StorageYou will probably pay more to park the TOAD than you will pay to store the RV.Re: Tongue WeightMaximum load in the trailer will be under 2000 lbs. A Goldwing TRIKE and some equipment. Thank you for the quick replies.Tongue WeightI am trying to set up a new cargo trailer to tow behind my MH. The MH is a 2006 Kodiak Dutchmen 34G(Duramax).It has a 2 1/2 inch receiver and 7000 lb tow capacity. The trailer is a Covered Wagon 7 X 14 with a 2 foot "V" and weights 2560 lbs. It has TWO 3500 lb leaf spring axels and 225/15 ST tires. With the trailer sitting level and empty there is only 200 lbs on the hitch. Is this normal?? The way it pulls, you would not even know you are pulling anything.Re: First time traveling through Colorado and freezing tempsDo you have TIRE CHAINS??? Tire chains or 4 wheel drive required for some of the passes depending on weather conditions.Re: Canping World websiteI restarted the computer and I was able to get on the web-site.Canping World websiteHas anybody been able to get on the Camping World website in the last week to order anything??Re: Power issues, breaker trips always now? tobydog927 wrote: herbhyde wrote: tobydog927 wrote: It could still be the breaker, sure, but it's been 24 hours now without a single power trip, since the water heater has been off. I finished all the foil & foam thing over my outside water hose yesterday, woke up expecting water. Nothing. Giant icicles down the foam covered hose leading out from the trailer, lots of ice. Not sure why it's leaking there in the first place to make that much ice, but any suggestions? Broken water lines due to freezing. You just made your problem a lot worse. You sound as if you are on a limited budget. Right now the trailer is not livable. What water lines? Everything works when the hose is thawed out Broken water lines inside the trailer. If the water is turning into ICE, it has to come from somewhere.Re: Power issues, breaker trips always now? tobydog927 wrote: It could still be the breaker, sure, but it's been 24 hours now without a single power trip, since the water heater has been off.
