The PowerPro 3500 WILL have to be rewired in order to run everything. I have one, I rewired it and it is now fine. The rewire takes about five minutes if you stop for a break or two. It would not perform to its full power without the rewire. This unit from Homier Generator DOES NOT require a rewire. It works fine right out of the box. My parents have this unit and it runs everything in their fifth wheel. You can buy it and have it shipped to you for under $300 and the only difference in it and mine is the paint color and how the panel is wired. Identical engine and exhaust. Just cheaper. Running both side by side the Homier unit was a little more quiet, no reason that I could tell why but it was quieter non the less.... From what I can gather by reading this thread, the ELM3000 also does not require a rewire. I have no first hand knowledge of this other than what I read here.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. It's actually a little more quiet than my PowerPro. The engine and muffler are the same but the Homier unit doesn't have the same mechanical noise level that mine has. I couldn't see any difference for the sound level to be less but it was. Neither one is as loud as my 6.75Hp Craftsman Lawnmower. It cost less, works without any mods and is a touch more quiet. I would have bought it in the first place if I'd seen the comparison beforehand.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.I have the PowerPro 3500 and had to do the parallel rewire in order for it to run everything in my TT. Before the rewire it would only run the AC for short periods before the breaker would throw. My parents ordered a simular unit from Homier. It has the exact same engine but the panel is wired differently. It has 2 25a 120v outlets and only one breaker instead of 1 120 and one 220 outlet on the PowerPro. In ran my dad's AC, fridge and all the lights with zero problems in his fifth wheel. That unit only cost $229 plus another $52 for UPS shipping. My PowerPro was $299 plus tax when I bought it about a month ago. The Homier unit is rated at 2800W cont. and 4000W surge. Here is a link to the Homier Unit Homier GeneratorRe: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. From what I can tell, you have to cut the red wire before it is attached to the white wire. This short red wire then needs to be jumped over to the brown wire. The red wire with the white wire attached then needs to be attached to the blue wire. All of this takes place before the CB. Am I right in what I'm thinking? Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.Do you have a schematic that includes the breaker and the 120V outlet? Could you also lable the yellow wires in the picture you took to corespond on the schematic? Also, where do you plan to mount the DPDT switch? Thanks Jason
