Unfortunately I did not have an opportunity to remove it from the line yet, I plan on doing it tonight. Thanks again! JeffRe: Water problems! Thanks for the replys everyone. I do have a strainer between the tank and the pump, I am going to remove it tonight and check it for cracks. I do not have a valve for winterizing it, I think I will add it this summer at some point. JeffWater problems!Ok, I made a huge mistake 2 winters ago by not properly winterizing the water system in my 32' Jayco Jayflight TT. Since spring of 2015 when I turn on the pump, it pumps weakly with a lot of air in the line. Also, before this when I would turn the pump on it would build up pressure and then shut off until a faucet was opened or the toilet was flushed which would drop the pressure and cause the pump to turn on. Now, it does not ever seem to build that pressure and the pump never turns off. I thought about it and thought...maybe there was water left in the pump that ruined the pump diaphram. So I purchased a new pump but it still does the same thing! I have looked from the pump forward to the kitchen to see if there are any leaks from cracked lines but have found nothing and no leaking water anywhere. I do have a filter between the water tank and the pump and I thought about removing it to see if it was allowing air into the lines but have not done that yet. Any other ideas? Thanks! JeffRe: New A/C in older camping trailerThe old system is non-ducted and the new system will be as well. I will have to purchase a new ceiling assembly (non-ducted) as the new unit did not come with one and I am sure what I have will not work with this new unit. I am not sure what brand the old unit is. JeffNew A/C in older camping trailerI have an '83 Jayco 32 Jayflight Camping Trailer. During our last camping trip, our A/C ruptured a line and lost all of the freon out of it. I have read that camper A/C units are sealed from the factory and provide no fittings to refill even if it could be fixed. Luckily, I have a relative that has a neighbor that had a brand new Coleman camper A/C unit sitting in his garage. I was able to obtain the unit. He said he got it in 2005 brand new but it was never used and has never been installed on anything. The question I have is if I remove my old original A/C unit, will it have the standard 14" x 14" opening to be able to mount the new unit? Is there anything else I need to know that will help me in swapping the A/C units out? Thanks in advance for all responses!! JeffRe: Toilet not getting any water!! HELP!!I looked breifly yesterday at the toilet and I am not sure how to get to the water supply line and valve. Is there an easy way to remove a panel or two that covers the base of the toilet to get easy access to these? Thanks! JeffToilet not getting any water!! HELP!!I recently purchased a 1983 Jayco Jayflight 32' TT. When I got it the water pump was not installed and after I installed it, it would not work. I purchased a new pump for it and installed it yesterday. The water system works great now and I have water flowing in the bathroom sink and tub and the kitchen sink. I tried the toilet and NOTHING. I tried both levers on the toilet many times and could not get any water to flow into the toilet. Any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks! JeffRe: Water pump question. No, it is a 1983 TT that I recently bought. It had some leaking/water damage issues where the water pump is mounted and I thought that is why the pump had been removed. The previous owner put a new floor down throughout the whole trailer. I tested the pump outside the trailer to make sure it worked. When I first tested it, it was above the water level and did not prime itself. Once I lowered the pump below the water level in the tank, it pumped fine. Maybe I need to fill the tank up because that will make the water level above the pump inlet. JeffRe: Water pump question.Okay, I got the pump installed and filled the tank up a little over half full. I am not exactly sure how to hook up the wires. I have a white wire and a blue wire coming out of the wall. The pump has a red wire and a black wire. I have tried it both ways and it does not appear to be priming itself. I am assuming it would try to push water back into the tank if the wires are not hooked up the way they are supposed to be. I then took the hose coming from the tank off and sucked until I got water and then put it back on the pump and it still would not pump. Any ideas on how to get it to prime itself? Thanks! JeffRe: Water pump question.Kevin, Yes, I have a shurflo pump. Dick, Yeah, I think I am going to remove it from the paneling and mount a piece of plywood in there somehow to reduce the vibrations. I will figure it out. Thanks! Jeff
