Toilet not getting any water!! HELP!!

I recently purchased a 1983 Jayco Jayflight 32' TT. When I got it the water pump was not installed and after I installed it, it would not work. I purchased a new pump for it and installed it yesterday. The water system works great now and I have water flowing in the bathroom sink and tub and the kitchen sink.

I tried the toilet and NOTHING. I tried both levers on the toilet many times and could not get any water to flow into the toilet. Any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it?

Thanks!

Jeff

  • The supply line should screw into the back of the toilet, remove the fitting with an open end wrench.
  • I looked breifly yesterday at the toilet and I am not sure how to get to the water supply line and valve. Is there an easy way to remove a panel or two that covers the base of the toilet to get easy access to these?

    Thanks!

  • Look close at the supply line many folks add a shut off valve to the toilet

Disconnect the water inlet to the toilet and turn the pump briefly on to see if problem is toilet related or supply related. Then go from there.

That's what I would do first. If water comes out, you know it's a problem with the toilet and not the water supply, ie, could be a bad valve or somesuch.
