NEVER had a problem with that setup. My CURRENT new Redwood has the lippert 6 point leveling system that we just used on our second trip recently. I was under the impression that all you have to do is pull up unhook & press the "auto level" button & the coach would automatically level WRONG !! The site has to be just about perfectly level ( ours wasn't) for the system to auto level as we found out, otherwise you have to use boards under your jacks (or you'll keep on getting ERROR messages) and or "manually" level. What a pain ...... miss the old "standard system". This system isn't very user friendly. JMHORe: 2015 Thor Challenger with Ford V10Thanks everyone for your advice........still vacillating between keeping the 5er & Dually & getting the motorcoach. Big$ decision.2015 Thor Challenger with Ford V10Hello folks...... DW & I are seriously thinking of trading our 07 5th Wheel & Silverado Dulley toward the purchase of a 2015 Thor Challenger 37KT with the Ford V10 Gasser. A motor coach has always been my dream & I think that at this point in our lives the fact that you can just jump into it at a whims notice & go without the hassle of hooking up to the truck is attractive. It would also make life easier for my 94 year old father in law since he wouldn't have to climb up the stairs to gain access to to bath located in the bedroom. That aside, I have researched this motorcoach but haven't found much info. on the Ford V10 as far as reliability & sufficient power. I realize this isn't a diesel pusher, but it something close enough to a pusher in our price range with most of the amenities. Those of you who have a Thor Challenger or something similar with the Ford V10 gasser care to comment ?? Oh one other question ...... Instead of towing a toad, we would probably just simply have a rental car company drop off a rental car to the RV park.........any comments on this ? Thanks againRe: Fiver-Replacing flooringI have been contemplating doing the same install so I will be monitoring this thread for information ......Re: Got yelled at!Would have told him to pound sand !!!Re: Cougar Tank dump valvesHave the same issue......just have to get used to the fact that you'll have no choice but to kneel down. I'd be leery using extension handles...may put too much stress & rip the valves loose from their anchor points but you can try em ..just be gentle when pulling the handle.Re: annoying squeekYep.... as others have said "creaking" & squeaking noises while maneuvering the trailer is usually due to those cheap plastic bushings used by the manufacturer's. There are all kinds of aftermarket kits available using brass bushings & "wet bolts" that can be greased with a grease gun that can be installed by any shop or you if you are mechanically inclined. I installed a "Trailaire" kit myself. Just google it, or go to u- tube.Re: Slideout seals Us out West wrote: We have used Protect All for all our rubber on the slides...best out there IMHO. We also use their dry lube for the slide mechanisms. Don't want to start a war here but as far as I'm concerned, Protectall 303 is nothing but glorified Armorall. Have used it on my vehicles & it just washes off the first time that it rains.
