Has anyone on this forum had any experience with replacing the Goodyear 1R12-431 with the Goodyear 1R12-492 on their Monaco or Beaver motorhome? Reason I ask is that the 1R12-431 is a Monaco proprietary part and the specs have been kept private for some reason so it is hard to find a crossover. I know this subject has been discussed many times but I would like the latest information possible. I just installed a Samsung RF18 refrigerator in our motorhome. The coach has a 2500 watt Trace/Xantrex modified sine wave inverter. I know a pure sine wave is best BUT, has anyone had real world experience running this refrigerator from a modified sine wave inverter? I just don't want to buy a $1,500. inverter if I don't have to. I wash mine once or twice a year and wax it the hard way (hands and knees) every two years. Last August I washed it then waxed it (standing up)with Mop & Glow. It has never looked so good. I recommend at least trying it once. I will never go back. Marty577Views0likes0CommentsRe: samsung 197
Considering an Rf 197 refer is kind of a moot point, they are no longer in production. There is another Samsung but it is larger and hopefully they solved that problem. I have the 197 in my 02 Thunder and did the little mod to it and that solved the problem. It is an upgrade that I thought long and hard about and I am glad I went with the residential refer.
