Good luck.Re: Winterizing 2014 Coachmen Freelander 31DSI have the Coachman Leprechaun and our manual told us the same thing. Having some experience orior to this rig with a TT, we just installed the winterizing attachment which you can buy at Camping World or others. We located the pump in the rear cargo area, cut a section of the wall for easy removal each year and installed the valve. Now we use the pump to push the antifreeze. It was hard to beleive it was not installed as part of the design. Hope this helps.Car Battery Dead - car dealer says it is MH issueHas anyone encountered a situation where the car battery looses its charge and they say it has something from the MH drawing power from it? After a few days of sitting, I have to charge the battery to start the vehicle. I was told by the dealer to take it to a Chevy shop to address. At the Chevy shop, they tell me it is because of some draw on the battery from the MH. We always leave the MH with the plug inserted into the outlet. When they take it out, they say the draw stops on the car battery. The dealer says this is impossible as there is not connection from the MH batteries to the car battery. NO one wants to fix it. Any suggestions?Re: Leveling jacksBigFoot- you won't regret it!Re: leveling systemHave BigFoot system installed at factory. Love it!Re: your opinion on leprechaun CoachmanI have a 2013 22QB. We love it and do not regret our purchase at all.Re: Question on TowingI tow a four door Jeep Wrangler behind my 22QB Coachman Leprechaun with a Chevy cab. I just had all of the "stuff" installed. Purchased it from the dealer so maybe ai paid more than necessary. About $3500 for Blue Ox tow bar and Stay N Play braking system. My Jeep is an automatic and I do not have to undo anything other than follow a few instructions at the beginning. I wanted the easiest connection since I wanted to plan for a time when I might not be quite as nimble as I am now. The base plate is vehicle specific so you want to make sure you have a vehicle you plan to keep for a while. That is the end of my expertise. :).Re: Question on TowingThis is a great discussion and points out we all have different ways in which we use our MH. I bought a 22 ft Class C specifically to have something small enough to get in and out, and not need a toad. However, after a year, it became obvious we were creating a lot of work setting up and tearing down and sometimes didn't set up completely knowing we would be pulling out early in the morning to attend an event, etc. We were fortunate to own a Jeep Wrangler, so setting it as a toad was easy, although not cheap. Now I have the best of both worlds. We do not take the toad every time, but if needed, it is easy to hook up and opens up the possibilities.Re: Driving a Class C in the Snow Deb and Ed M wrote: Assuming you are a competent driver of a car in snow, the Class C is no different, except that you need more space to stop. We've driven through deep drifts and on 4" thick ice. Not that we wanted to..... but weather happens. The nice thing about RVs is that they're tall, and if driving slightly below the speed limit feels right due to conditions, you can't see the impatient idiot behind you flipping you off. And if you arent comfortable driving under the conditions, pull into a parking lot and wait for conditions to improve. Lots of people use their RVs for winter vacations in snow country. Your post has renewed my faith. I have always felt comfortable to drive in the snow. I am conservative in general when the roads are anything but dry, so I will take the MH in the next snow around the neighborhood and get a feel for how it handles. Thanks!Re: Driving a Class C in the SnowThanks everyone. I think I will stick to travel after the roads have been cleared and plan to stay put until then. I guess I need to think I spent the extra money for camping in the cold,,,not the snow. :).
