That is great.Re: Refreshing my 1995 Class 24 WB CoachmenThank you Allie, it was a small thing it seems but really did make a difference. I have plans "fixing it up" and trying to get it done by next fall. Mostly when the budget allows. I have some big things through, such as the awning replacement. And I'd love to tackle the floor. The big project is putting in some sort of hard floor, removing the carpet. Most of the time, I'm in the boonies and the carpet is hard to keep clean. Still doing my homework on that one.Re: Looking for RV Supplies, RemodelingWow, Im learning all kinds of things. I wouldnt mind a wood look, Im just trying to shake the time with brass. Also, on the counter top in the kitchen, (its small) and on the dining table, I have brass trim as well. With the counter top and the table, I am actually leaning toward black. I have enough with the black stove and window frames, I think it would like good. The cabinets, on the other hand, might be a one of those that just takes a while to find something I like.Re: Looking for RV Supplies, RemodelingActually, the T molding is not falling away. I have to pry it out. In fact, there is one section where I have pulled it out and put it back a few times to measure, etc. You got me thinking about the Veneer. I will take a look and see if that could work. Thanks! ::edit, I am not sure, why but signature isnt showing. Earlier posts it does. I have link to a few more pictures in a another thread I started.Re: Refreshing my 1995 Class 24 WB CoachmenI completed one of the first steps in redoing the interior. The RV has quite a bit of brass accents and the handles, were very brassy LOL I found a very economical styles at Home Depot. They came in 10 packs and roughly 35.oo for 2 sets. The color is right where I want to be and I like the fact they are small profile. I know it sounds silly but I stand 6'7" and even having smaller profile handles stick out, I seem to notice. This is a picture of the back bedroom. Its a start :D Not the best picture, sorry about the glare.Re: Looking for RV Supplies, RemodelingThanks for the advice. Much needed. The width of the cabinets is only 5/8th of an inch and the T-grove molding, is the way I am leading. There is no warping, the RV has spent the last 11 or years here in Arizona. That said, trying to glue the strip perfectly, I just dont see it happening and being durable. The wood edge is fairly rough. I admit, Im kinda torn but I found myself leading toward just regular black. The kitchen counter has black oven top and I have a black molding on the on the fridge, plus black speaker covers. Taking out all of the molding and going to plain black would work. My over all finished concept is to darken it up a bit, I have brushed metal for drawer pulls now and want to do a charcoal colored/patterned floor. At the moment, it comes out easy and I imagine I can reinstall the black with low commitment. Then keep my eyes out for something that I really like. I will for sure keep it up dated. I started a thread in the DIY where I will be posting pictures of my progress.Re: Sick to my stomach!Ah, **** happens. I'm sorry to hear. I once caught, of all things, that orange safty net stuff they use around construction zones, or in this case, a large out door show and they were using to section of our RV camping area. Well, I backed into it, did not see it, and it snagged the corner molding. Tore out 2 feet of it. A darn, cheap nylon net......... It happens. I wish best of luck on the repairRe: Refreshing my 1995 Class 24 WB CoachmenHere is a picture of the big guy doing his thing at the dunes. And yeah, gotta get a new windshield curtain thingy.... Re: Refreshing my 1995 Class 24 WB CoachmenOne of the first things I did was begin replacing the light fixtures. I found a model that I liked, Arcon I belive and I have some older LEDs and I will be getting some newer ones. Also, I am working on replacing the vent fixtures. Some could probably use to be all replaced, some just need the inner valance. Makes a difference getting away from the yellowish. Refreshing my 1995 Class 24 WB CoachmenThis thread is for my 1995 Class C, Coachmen Catalina, 240WB. I am the 3rd owner and brought it home in 2006. I have managed to hang to it through some lifes ups and downs. And now that I am finally getting my life calmer, it's time to "tinker" on the RV. I am in my early 40's so the RV is primarily weekend get-aways, used as a tow rig, and the occasional vacation. It is in solid mechanical shape, minimal water damage (Done before I got it) and everything inside works. I have some big plans down the road, but as time and finances start, I am beginning on the little things. I have 2 main goals. 1) Getting it more contemporary in the interior. Both in looks and and function. 10 years in the AZ heat, a lot of plastic has cracked, and yellowed. Age time have caught up to it. 2) Creating more storage. There is a lot wasted space I have found and I need to find a way to make it more accessible. I expect this project to probably go on through next year.
