I want to have it shipped to NC. How do I do that and approx. what is the cost? This involves family so I don't want to lowball the price or anything just not planning on going out there this year.Re: Can I take my big truck with me?That truck is already set up to tow travel trailers, 5th Wheel trailers, and carry slide-in truck campers. What does it take to set it up to be towed 4 down?Re: Can I take my big truck with me?msmith1199 California is a beautiful state. We have RV'd a large part of it. We usually go to see our daughter in Oregon and explore after that. Have to cross the Appalachians, Rockies, and the Cascades to get there. My mountain driving makes my DW nervous.Re: Can I take my big truck with me?I just checked the window sticker/spec sheet and it lists 7000 lb hitch receiver with dual connector. Does that mean my "tow rating" is only 7k lbs or does that mean the receiver will handle up to 7k lbs hitch weight? Probably sounds like a stupid question but if I knew the answer I wouldn't ask.Re: Can I take my big truck with me?Shipping weight on the truck shows as 7100 lbs. For some reason I thought it weighed around 8500 lbs. What is "tow rating" and where do I find it? I've only had the motorhome about 7 months so new to this type of RVing. What kind of equipment is required and about how much $?Can I take my big truck with me?04 Dodge 2500 long bed 4 door cummins turbo diesel truck towed by 09 35' Holiday Rambler Neptune 340 HP cummins diesel with 6 speed Allison World transmission and 9000 lb. hitch. Already have the truck from pulling trailers and carrying slide-in truck camper in the past. If this combo will work I won't have to find a toad and can keep our truck. We travel cross-country each year. Any advice and opinions welcomed and appreciated. Usually our trips are 2-3 months and 7-8K miles. Not being the brightest light in the barrel I just looked in the owners manual for the truck and found out it can be towed.Re: Any one under 55 own a class A?I was and am 67 before we actually had money left over at the end of each month and after raising and educating 2 children and getting them married off and independent that scared the hell out of us so we decided you can't take it with you and traded our TT in on a motorhome. If we die before it is paid for I hope our children will enjoy RVing enough to finish paying for it and use it.Re: Truck bed heightI have an 04 2500 Dodge CTD. The bed on it is very high. You don't jump into it, you climb into it.Re: Damon Challenger 2010 drivers seat fabric shrewddingI have the same problem in our 09 HR Neptune. Bought it in June with 12K miles on it and the seats looked good. Took it across country and back and the drivers seat is peeling where my shoes hit it getting in and out. Passenger seat showing wear. All this on one 7K mile trip. Guess I will let it wear and later on have them reupholstered. What is a tan rag rug?
