I am so sorry for your loss and also for your family's and your daughter's grief. We recognize the problem all too well. We had 15 years of saving our 5 lb chi mix Poquita's life. At the park, an unleashed dog would run up to check out what kind of critter she was. It seems that she hit those dogs' radar the same as a rabbit or squirrel. Dogs still have that primitive urge,and sometimes it takes over for a second, even though they "know" the unfortunate little one. What a heart breaker. Oh, oh. Will you be in trouble if you ask her to read the owner's manual on the new unit? Even if you buy the "insurance" at the time of purchase, it will be null and void if she's puts "contraband" into it. Richard, when you get the new disposal, be sure you and Sue read the owner's manual. There's a list of things you never ask that poor machine to do. Like chew up and swallow potato peels, celery scraps, etc. If it would help, make a list of no-goes on an index card and pin it near the sink. Here in SoCal, we were on water restrictions last year, too. Funny, after a few months the Water Co sent notices telling us to go ahead and do that extra load of wash, take a long shower, flush EVERY time! Oh, the luxury! Not that we suddenly had more available water, No, but the WC shareholders were mighty worried and the drop in monthly income. Back to our wasteful Cali ways!172Views0likes0Comments
