I had one of those mounts made of PVC and an upside down antenna ( Google it, it works), then I did something similar to the OP with a Harbor Freight hitch tube and a bent piece of pipe- I always seemed to park the same direction in the desert and it was just easier to aim since the elevation was always the same too. Does it boot all the way? I have a PC with a low battery on the motherboard that I have to go into the BIOS and reenter all the settings when it loses power. Some of the newer ones have a usb port than can be used as the low speed. Need a USB- RS232 adapter and an adapter from 9 pin to RJ22. There is a post on here I put up the diagram. Umm no on #1 and #2. #1 if overloaded the site sends nothing- its busy and you get a fast busy tone #2 happens all the time in the city and your phone still works. I did mine on a swinging mount like the others, but I added a zip tie so it wont swing. The one I really like is the one where someone made the TV swing up like a door.
