My doctor ( in California) initially agreed to see me every 6 months and give me a 90 day supply with refills through express scripts ( we had Tricare). After the first year he said he had to see me every three months and last summer I was told I could only get a 30 day supply per visit. I would have to be seen to get a refill. That wasn't workable so I weaned myself off and have been off of them for 6 months. Fortunately my pain has improved to a point where I don't need them. Not everyone is so fortunate. My other meds I get a 90 day supply from Express Scripts and they are sent to my SD address and then forwarded to me at whatever location I request. That has worked very well. The Pain management doctor I was seeing said the FDA was breathing down his neck and the criteria for prescribing narcotics has gotten very strict. I hope you have better luck than I did.Re: Replacement Sink?I want to replace my sink as well. I have a double stainless steel sink that is undercount with solid surface countertop. I'd love to have a single bowl sink. Looked at the link for the custom fabrication and you're right, it's very expensive. Maybe next year?Re: Need brand advicein that price range I would be looking at used. Check out the journal post on choosing a 5th wheel at www.rv-dreams.com/journal.html It was posted a week or so ago. He has some excellent advice about how to narrow down your choices based on usage, budget, weight etc. Currently in Buffalo, WY on our western states road trip.Re: Looking for ceiling light for kitchenThank you for the suggestion to search for a 110 fixture and install it with 12v led bulbs. That's what we did and I am very happy with the results. Yes, I know my DH didn't center it but it's OK. I'm not going to make him move it. Re: Where are you headed in 2016?We are leaving Mesa, AZ April 8 and heading to Austin, TX. Then on to Dallas, up to South Dakota, and then plan to hit as many national parks as we can on our way heading to Oregon to camp host at Champoeg SP for July and Aug. Sept we will be hosting at The Cove Palisades SP. No definite plans after that. We're looking at options for next fall and winter. We love the full time RV life.Looking for ceiling light for kitchenI want to replace the ceiling fixture over the island in our 5th wheel. It has a single pendant fixture now but it's kind of ugly and I'm looking for something nicer. Any suggestions for where to look for 12V lighting. I haven't been able to find anything I like so far.Re: Sofa is getting softWe have had the same problem and have replaced recliners many times. The problem is that my husband is a big guy and he sits in the same chair all the time. Because of his weight the cushions break down over time. This has been true with Lazy Boy and other quality manufactures. We currently have a reclining love seat that we paid almost $2K for and his side is sinking badly after less than a year of daily use. It's frustrating because my chairs never have that problem but that's the price we have to pay when we are larger than the average customer that the product was manufactured for.Re: Residential refrigerator travel lockI have a residential side by side refrigerator in my 5th wheel. It did not come with a latch to keep the doors closed when traveling. I use a bungee cord wrapped around the handles of the refrigerator and freezer to keep them closed. The only time it didn't work was when I forgot to bungee the doors. Cost: $ 0 (I already had the bungee cord)Re: Looking for Workamping/Work OpportunitiesWe are workkamping at an RV Resort in the Phoenix area. We are not paid but get our space rent and utilities in exchange for a total of 24hrs a week. I would assume a lot of RV resorts in Florida would also have programs like ours. We are working for Cal Am Resorts in their food service department and are very happy with our arrangements.Re: Full Timers with place to "land" aka RV park or Lot?We are staying in a 5 star resort in Mesa, Az with free rent and utilities in exchange for 24hrs a week working at their poolside bar and grill...that's 12 hours each with free meals for each of us when we work and 50% discount at any other time. I am not a "young' retiree at 69, but I truly enjoy working at the grill (plus I make good tips which I get to keep) two days a week for 6 hours. The park is nice with all the amenities you could want and our space has parking on the side and a nice poured patio. Just another option if you want to enjoy the resort life but are priced out.
