Nice truck. That 7.3 is a workhorse and your gonna love it. Just do what Steelhog recommends to help prevent future problems. We just got back home from a 1400 mile trip from Oregon to Tahoe area and back and our 2000 7.3 performed like a champ. Wouldn't even know we had 4k in the bed of the truck. Thanks guys. Gave us some good places to start. The reason we were thinking of dropping the camper is we want to go check out some of the nearby towns and it just seems it might be easier to travel around bareback. Finally get some time off of work at the end of the month. We've been thinking of heading to Reno. I've looked online for some places to stay but get the feeling that what I've looked at caters mostly to MH's and 5r's. I haven't emailed any of them yet, hoping that you fine peeps can steer us in the right direction. Can anybody here recommend a decent, safe place where we can rest our heads for a few and not get reamed for dropping the camper? Had the 08 811 on the 00 250 SRW. Upgraded to Ranchos, Helwig swaybar, Stableloads, Ride-Rites and E-rated tires and wheels. The truck hauled the camper ok, but I did have some white knuckle moments on some roads.
