Never got around to building the yoke to adapt it to the dolly. KeithRe: How to plan stops by miles in GS trip plannerMatt I tried furkot again as you suggested, I didn't get to much further, guess I am technology challenged and went back to GS trip planner, I just put in a stop that looked around 250 miles, that is working pretty good now, I am getting better with it, keeping a window open to google maps too is helpful. The one thing I keep making errors on is the mileage in trip planner, keep looking at the wrong stop thinking thats the mileage to stop and it is actually not, it is actually miles to next stop and if I want to know how many miles for the stop I just put in is actually noted in last stop, with practice I will stop making that error (I hope). Appreciate all the advice, you all are a great bunch, Thanks, KeithRe: Cataract surgery for diabetic dog?We use the Walmart Novolin N also for our Dachshund, he has had diabetes since 6 years old and is 13 now, the DW monitors his blood sugar like a hawk, we have found the best control is his diet of course, he gets the same amount and type of meals every day and the 12 units of insulin has crept up over the years but if we only give him non carbs for snacks it seems to work. The only thing that gets his blood sugar out of wack now is the trips to the vet, she told us the emotional trauma will also play havoc on their blood sugar so we make them as few as possible, we purchased a dog glucose monitor and can do his blood curves at home and that really helped in the beginning. My wife can just look at him now and knows if he is high or low from the normal. A year ago he developed Glaucoma from the diabetes the vet says, cataracts are also there but the Glaucoma was worse, he started on drops 3 times a day but eventually she had to remove his left eye because the drops couldn't control the pressure and he was in pain. Now we are fighting the glaucoma in his right eye and on drops for that one, we are hoping he doesn't loose that one. Going on nearly a year now with only one eye and that one is blind, but he goes about his routine pretty well, I am retired so I can keep him on a normal schedule, he doesn't get to go outside anymore by himself, he has a tendency to fall in the pool or get disoriented and wind up in the street. But he is happy and especially at meal times, camping is a little harder for him but he still loves riding in the truck and mom's cart behind her bike. Good luck to all the diabetic animals of ours, it is definitely not a death sentence, just a little more attention and they get by pretty good, we are hoping for a lot more years with Duke the Daschund. KeithRe: How to plan stops by miles in GS trip plannerUs out West Interesting, I google mapped your path with all the stops and thought why would you go so far into California to get to Arizona, but when I took out the Calif stops google came up with 2 routes, almost your original and the straight down never in Calif, and both routes near same miles and hours. Yes I would rather route hours also, not in a big hurry but I love to plan and follow a plan, 20 years Navy did that I suspect. I am still trying to get GS trip planner to work, getting better but still needs work. Thanks, KeithRe: How to plan stops by miles in GS trip plannerOST I looked at the driving directions tab as you said, but the first turn was 504 miles after getting on I-10, could I be missing something? I have been putting in a tab hear and there as a guess at miles, that kinda works but I was looking for something more automated. Thanks, KeithRe: How to plan stops by miles in GS trip plannerThanks for all the help, I looked at the Furkot and RV trip wizard, I couldn't get the Furkot to really work, I would probably have to spend some more time and ask questions. I liked the rv trip wizard but their demo wouldn't let me put in any preferences to try the mile/time thing, I may try it for their 30 day trial if I like it, but believe will experiment with google maps more until I get frustrated with it or the DW finally retires and I have to route a long trip. Appreciate all your thoughts and will keep at it, Thanks, KeithRe: Another reason I hate my F150 Fordlover wrote: My 2002 explorer doesn't have a dipstick, and still doesn't leak any fluid either. I'm guessing the lack of a dipstick also eliminates a path for contaminants to enter the tranny. Ford doesn't recommend a flush till 100K. Fordlover is right, it was eliminated because they felt it was a contaminant entry point, I asked when we purchased the wifes 2003 Explorer. We just have Ford change the fluid every 50,000 miles, but I would have liked a dip stick too. KeithHow to plan stops by miles in GS trip plannerWas hoping someone knows a way to plan trips in Good Sam trip planner by miles, say 300 miles a day and the software would make a waypoint and then I could look for camping. I have looked all through the trip planning on Good Sam and can't find it, if there is not that option could you tell me of another trip planning software that could. Appreciate any advice, Thanks, KeithRe: Diesel stations on Hwy 395 southbound from Reno, NV BobKrogstie wrote: This should help Find Diesel Bob Thanks, thats a really cool site, I found diesel for miles traveled and cost, perfect, Thanks KeithRe: Locked myself out... again.... djousma wrote: It's because of this, that I always keep the second set of keys in the console of my tow vehicle. A friend of mine did the same thing, he had a set, his wife had a set. Both sets ended up in their belongings inside the trailer. We've avoided this scenario as I never lock the door with the key's if someone is still inside. I've contemplated installing the keypad type lock, but wasnt sure if the master keys the dealer has would still be able to open the lock or not. I also just keep a set in the truck, with the keypad on the truck I can always get in the truck even without the keys. Keith
