I really like my pair of Hondas, because I can use them for other things besides the RV. I've actually only used them for camping on one trip. We camp mainly at a county park that has electric hookups. Last year a friend of mine new to camping camped with us at this same park over the 4th of July. All the electric spots were taken, so he used my Hondas. To me that is the best part, the portability of them.Re: newbie who would appreciate some adviceI have a 2013 Puma Unleashed 356. Very similar to the 351 you are looking at. We absolutely love it. I bought this new in May 2013, a solid unit. Only issues have been the cheap microwave, and tonight when de-winterizing I have a cracked toilet valve, which is my fault. I paid $28,500 for it from Labadie RV in Ohio, and had them deliver it to me in North Dakota. For generators I picked up a couple Honda 2000's, much cheaper than the factory optioned generator. I also looked at the Torque line. Nice units but they were too much money for me. I'm pulling with a 1994 F350 7.3 Powerstroke with lots of goodies. No problems pulling it. I wouldn't worry about pulling with a 3/4 ton. In '13 my truck was down, borrowed a buddy's 2003 GMC 2500 Duramax, and pulled my Puma on a 800 mile round trip without issue. He pulls his 2010 40' Open Range all over with a '12 GMC 2500 with no issue.Re: Dometic Toilet WARNINGJust learned my lesson. De-winterizing my Puma Unleashed 356 tonight, and my valve is bad. I bought this unit new in 2013, that winter I used antifreeze and compressed air, no problems last spring. Last Fall I used just compressed air, and you guessed it, it bit me in the ass. Taking off work tomorrow and making a 200 mile round trip to my nearest dealer for a new one.Re: Out of level campsite padsHere's my camper this weekend. I could have parked on a level spot. But chose this one. Re: GOOSENECK TO FIFTHWHEEL ADAPTORI have a Puma Unleashed 356, this has a Lippert frame. I have a Reese Goosebox hitch, the only gooseneck hitch that Lippert will not void the warranty if used. It has an airbag built in, which really helps the ride. I love mine. http://www.reeseprod.com/content/products.aspx?lvl=2&parentid=7300&catID=7390∂=0Re: Whats your favorite adult beverage??I also wish we could get Yeungling! We usually have a variety of cheap beer on hand, Rolling Rock, Bud Light Chelada's for volume. Guinness, sometimes some Shiner Bock. Generally have a fully stocked liquor selection. Make a lot of Long Island teas, daiquiris, but my go to has to be Pendelton and 7 up. I love Canadian Whiskeys, and after discovering Pendelton, I can't even stomach Crown anymore.Re: Puma unleashed 356Thanks for the feedback! I'm not worried about the width, the only toys I plan to haul is my Harley, which won't be often, and maybe my golf cart once in awhile, but not both at the same time. I've done a lot of looking, thought about used. Up here in western ND used toy haulers do not last long due to the oil boom, and they are generally pretty pricey. I'm paying 30k to have this delivered to my door from Ohio. I could get under 30 if I went to get it, but its not worth my time, I'd have to take time off from work. Very excited to get this unit.Puma unleashed 356I'm a new member here, been lurking for about a year. Getting ready to bite the bullet and order a Puma Unleashed 356qlb toy hauler from Labadie RV. This should be quite a step up from our current RV, a '74 Travco 270 class A. The old Travco has served us well, with trips to Sturgis with my Harley strapped down on back. It also gets used every weekend in the summer for camping at local campgrounds. But as a family of five with a dog, it gets pretty cramped, so time for the toy hauler. From the research I've done, the Puma has everything we need, people seem to be happy with them, and you can't beat the price. No dealers around here carry them, so going to buy sight unseen. I've never seen a 356, let alone been in one, so this is a bit of a gamble. Going to get a Reese Goose Box, and will be towing it with my '94 F350 Powerstroke.
