So thick, it has to be pre-heated so it flows.Re: Grand Design Imagine TTI own a GD Imagine 2800BH. GD products are no better or worse than others, using the same **** components and fastest assembly techniques and tricks used across the entire RV industry. This is an RV industry issue, not one brand name or another. The difference in Grand Design is the design layout, color schemes, and CUSTOMER SUPPORT. There is no other company that supports owners AFTER the purchase as GD does and continues to do. 2nd to none. For that reason alone, I will always recommend Grand Design and not think twice about buying another Grand Design product.Re: TPMS Sensors when RV is storedEvery TPMS sensor in the world uses lithium batteries and they all store just fine. All of them have a sleep mode to conserve power use as well. If you have the valve stem cap style, it wont hurt to bring them in. But you'll need to mark their locations or re-pair them when you mount them again in Spring. I leave mine on. There's bigger things to worry about when closing up shop for winter. And heck, if you have the cap style, you should really replace the lithium coin batteries every year regardless. They are cheap and easy to replace.Re: LT tire outside and inside edges wearingIn this case, the selected LT does NOT belong on a trailer, EVER. It has deep tread that is relatively soft for a 50/50 blend of on/off road use. The On/Off road LT tire has no business being on a trailer. A/T tread LT tire at MOST...but even then......WHY!?!?! HIGHWAY-All Season LT is what belongs on trailers if you opt for LT's. Period.Re: TT weight/length question! Terryallan wrote: honestly. It is the weight that matters. Not so much the length. IF your TV had a hard time with a 28' 3,900LB trailer. It will have the same problems with a 22' 3,900lb trailer. Height and length matter WAY more than weight. Think of pulling a flat trailer loaded thousands of pounds over weight. It will pull pretty darn easy until you reach hills, and the engine and trans works harder. Not the driver!Re: TT weight/length question!Number one....get right hitch for 1/2 ton SUV towing. Hensley or Propride. Do not tow without one of them. Seriously. Additional upgrades are LT tires, aftermarket shocks, and rear spring help (bags or spacers) SHORTER will not tow any easier. Dont be fooled. You DO need to watch tongue weights of any trailer you choose. What I tow can approach 1000lbs if you're careful loading and I also did some light weighting (small lithium battery small LP 1 gallon tanks). Over 900lbs on the tongue is too much for every modern SUV out there. My rig is a Sequoia and Grand Design 2800bh. My family and I tow all over the nation for 3 weeks every year. You may like some of Gulfstreams Vista Cruisers. The 23 foot has bunks, its light, and its aerodynamic. We used to own one but it was then called a Gulfstream Visa 23bhd.Re: Feel Safe on Freeway behind this guy?Big deal about nothing. As long as those LP tanks are tied down, they are by far safer than any full gas can in the back of a truck. I'll take an LP tank flying around on the interstate over gallons of gasoline any day. And apparently few of you realize what is on the road around you everyday. Just two examples. Semi fuel tanks are completely exposed, and often leak after accidents. And many...many vehicles have gas tanks as the very rear of the car/SUV. Notably, a long generation of Jeep Grand's, recalled for exactly what I state and the Fed's claiming if there is a hitch installed...you're good! I also used to carry 3 gallons of gas in a 5 gallon container on the back of my TT bumper. While I never found any laws restricting this, I was concerned a bit about going thru many tunnels on the East coast that did have specific restrictions and I still passed the criteria I was told by Virginia State Police. Still, I no longer carry it. It's not worth it.Re: My 2018 F150 Towing ExperienceEDIT...I should have read further...I find you are running a Hensley. Then you need to look at how its adjusted, meaning you need to hit the scales. I have a feeling you have weak WDH bars of 1000lbs or less. On top of that, you may need LT tires to help stabilize the truck in high winds as well. They really make a difference, even with the Hensley and I tow all over the nation with an SUV much shorter than your truck and the trailer is 32' long.Re: Quick disconnect?I use high quality brass quick connects all over, with exception to the picket end of course. What you cannot see, is the spicket end is only 2 feet long which contains a regulator and filter. Then the long section (25, 50 or both) is then added in. My wife has now taken over water and electrical connections while I set level and the jacks. Re: Smoky Mountains questionEasy. Don't give it another thought. And you'll be able to go as fast as you feel comfortable. There is plenty of power on tap to pass trucks on grades going much slower than you ever want to. Find the RPM range and gear combo that provides the right power for your speed. Use RPM's for high horse power needs (passing) if needed. Gas engines get a bad rap ONLY because people are afraid of high RPM and using their right foot vs trying to keep RPM's low and babying the motor. Don't baby it!
