Your 2015 Solara should be able to handle the Wrangler but verify its weight and check the Jeep owner's manual to confirm it can be towed 4-wheels down. It most likely can but you should still check. I have our 2014 Honda CR-V AWD (approx. 3400#) set up to be towed behind our 2016 Thor Synergy (M-B Sprinter too) and the Thor handles the load just fine. I have towed it from North Carolina to Beckley, WV and the interstate grades pose no problems but I have yet to tow on 2-lane roads with challenging terrain. Fuel economy while towing only seems to drop about 1 mpg so it's safe to say that the biggest impediment to fuel economy is the Solara's front profile. Non-towing we get between 14.5 mpg (strong headwinds) up to 17 mpg but I tend to take it easy on the skinny pedal. That being said you should be quite OK with a 26 gallon fuel tank. The Sprinter Class B+ and Class C motorhomes are quite easy to refuel since you can pull up to an automotive diesel pump which is more convenient than the big-rig fuel islands. You might also consider getting a Scangauge or some other type of OBD II reader to monitor engine systems.Insulation and exterior condensationI have noticed locations on our RV where there are areas of condensation on the exterior surfaces and some places where there is no condensation on exterior surfaces. This makes me wonder how much insulation was installed or if I even have a problem. About the only place I have actual proof of no insulation is behind the back bedroom cabinets, and there is exterior condensation at that location. Thor didn't secure the inside wall boards and when I pulled one out I could see the back side of the fiberglass end cap and the wiring for the camera and marker lights. I have removed some of the ceiling LED fixtures in the main coach there was some evidence of expanded foam insulation there and batt-style insulation around the LED fixtures in the molded fiberglass cab area. This photo is the outside of the rear cap with condensation only apparent near the top where the insulation is missing. This photo shows condensation on the side wall. Notice that there is no condensation above the coach door. This photo is of the opposite side. Notice that there no apparent condensation on this side. I would appreciate any thoughtful comments on if this is a problem or not. The RV is still under warranty and I have it scheduled for repair work on Aug. 11 and would like to be able to discuss this with the service manager - who is a really good guy to work with. Thanks in advance for your help!Re: Suggested routes from Zion NP to Yosemite NPThank you for the replies and my navigator (aka DW) will certainly use this to plot a course!Suggested routes from Zion NP to Yosemite NPPart of our summer trip will include Bryce and Zion NP's in Utah and then on to Yosemite NP. We have a Sprinter Class C without a toad and would appreciate suggestions on good routes (non-interstate as much as possible) between the two areas. I did try a search in this sub-forum but wasn't able to find what I needed. Thanks for any help offered! Ed & RobinIs this a gutless wonder? We purchased a Thor Synergy which has the King Jack antenna mounted just like it's supposed to be. I was finally able to find the "power injector" station in a cubby hole but here is the puzzling part. The base of the antenna does not have the King SureLock Signal Meter...it's completely empty with the exception of the directional control knob. The King website has only one manual and there is no indication there, or anywhere on the King website that allows for the deleting of the meter. So, after a long-winded discourse has anyone else come across this situation and was it corrected to your satisfaction? Thanks, EdRe: Camping World order problemFinal update here. Mr. Brian Roberts, Director of Sales - Call Centers emailed me and was able to take care of the issue. The item was no longer manufactured but Mr. Roberts offered to supply an item of equal/better valuebut I declined the offer. Later that day I received a notification that a full credit would be made to my credit card account. I do appreciate Mr. Roberts efforts and hope that their on-line ordering system gets straightened out.Re: Camping World order problem peaches&cream wrote: jdb7566 wrote: old guy wrote: with all the problem posts about CW I am surprised anyone orders from them I've been in retail sales for 30+ years. There is a segment of the population that cannot be pleased, no matter what. And, most of them are here on this forum. I agree. They make the situation so dramatic, you would think they are losing a family member. I was in retail sales from 1968 to 2005 and it is easy to pick out the complainers from true customers. Yes there are complainers but there are lots of folks with credible reasons to complain. Isn't the main purpose of online ordering to streamline the process and get the product to the customer as efficiently and promply as possible? And, wouldn't you agree that the computer age has driven the expectations of internet shoppers to get what they are promised - when they are promised? On July 10, I placed an online order for 10 - tubes of Proflex Caulk and received online confirmation the same say. On July 13, I received an email summarizing the order (don't know why) but nothing since that date indicating/confirming the shipment of the product. My credit card was debited on July 14 (four days after the online order was placed for a stock item) and still no updates. I kept checking the status which indicated that it was awaiting shipment so today, July 19, I called CW and talked to a very nice, very polite, and very professional lady that verified the order had not yet shipped but should do so within 24 hours. I almost cancelled the order but elected to wait another 24 hours to see if it was shipped or not. If it has not shipped then I will cancel the order and hopefully keep my CW purchases limited to just their walk-in stores.Re: Medical Alert bracelet, necklace etc...I went to American Medical ID for a dog-tag type necklace and it's worked quite well for my needs. My son in a paramedic and recommended an application for my smartphone that the medical EMT's call ICE (In Case of Emergency). It allows me to input a lot of pertinent info along with contact names/numbers, meds, conditions, and my insurance info. I did have to pay for the app but it's the peace of mind that pleases me. There are a lot of software and hardware out there and you just have to make the selections that work for you. Best regards, EdRe: rv storage in southgo4redoak, We have our 5th wheel at a secure storage site at Exit 29 Self Storage and Mobile Storage in Brunswick, GA. It is a mile or so from the interstate and was recommended to us by Coastal Georgia RV Resort. We are paying $80 per month and it beats towing back and forth on I-77 from/to West Virginia. There are other storage sites along the way so a good web search should pay off. Best of luck in your search.Re: Open Range 347RES - anybody seen one?I know I am not directly addressing your post but from one Ed to another, go back to the Open Range owner's forum and ask the tough questions. The replies for the most part are unbiased and if the model you are looking at is that new there may not be many on the road - yet. If the membership numbers are any indication of Open Ranges acceptance to the RV world, they must be doing something right. I have a 2012 Open Range 386FLR and while it did have a few minor (truly minor ones) warranty issues, my view of OR has been favorable. Good hunting on your choice of RV. Ed/KC8RXQ
