Depends how heavy your camper is fully loaded. Weigh the truck with all passengers and full tanks and subtract from the gross vehicle weigh will tell you how much you can carry. My mom's 55 and over neighborhood was very strict on anything that looked like an RV, even pickups with camper shells were banned if the shell was above the cab on the truck. The wildest thing they did was when I was staying with mom when she was sick was telling us to remove my "derelict" 51 Ford Woodie.
