It's nice and clean, but the spots are very small. Not a problem if you're going somewhere everyday like we did, but it's certainly not a place to have a campfire and sit outside. We enjoyed our stay because we found it very convenient. It was close to everything we were interested in. Most days we walked the 10 minutes to the ferry then sailed for about 30 minutes to dock right at the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero. From there you can walk to the various piers (very touristy) and the Alcatraz ferry tour. Or you can ride on a cable car or a streetcar. One day we drove to Tiburon and took the ferry to Angel Island where we biked the circumference of the island. Another day we biked across the Golden Gate Bridge (a wonderful experience!). There's no shortage of things to do and we were very glad we weren't way up in Petaluma, fighting traffic into the city every day.Re: How to reduce generator noise? Thanks, guys! You've been very helpful!Re: How to reduce generator noise? No, the generator use I'm talking about is mealtime use in, say, a Provincial Park, where there are no hookups. I feel like we're disrupting the entire campground whenever we run it, so we don't use it as much as we'd like to.Re: How to reduce generator noise? These are all great suggestions. Thanks so much for your thoughtful replies! And Handbasket, you're right, our Onan is only a 4K model. I was thinking of our previous RV. Oops. How to reduce generator noise? We love our 2013 LTV Libero to bits, but I'd sure be interested to hear of some ways to reduce the noise of the 5.5k Onan gas generator. We've considered putting something like Dynamat in the door and/or whole compartment, but we wonder if that would prevent the generator from 'breathing' properly. You can probably tell that we're not very mechanically inclined, so the simpler and cheaper the option, the better. Thanks for your time.Re: Putting Kayaks on a truck roofWe use the Thule Hullavator system on the cab of our Chev Colorado crew cab for transporting our 14' double kayak. We love it. Easy to load and unload. Very secure. Pricey, but worth the investment in our opinion. We can get out and enjoy our kayak more, simply because this rack takes the grunt work out of the equation.Re: Class C's with low height? Our 2013 Leisure Travel Van Libero is 9'10", although the new 2014's are 10'6" because the AC unit is mounted higher.Re: Another trip to Lost Dutchman SP in Apache junction ArizonaLovely photo, Desert Captain. We hope to get down there next fall or winter. Thanks for posting!Re: Bikes For Retired Parents......I have balance issues from a head injury, so a 2-wheeler is not an option. Instead, I bought a recumbent trike. Best thing I ever did. Mine is a Catrike Villager, made in Florida. You might want to check them out. It's like riding a lawn chair down the road!Re: 2013 Year in ReviewThanks for the great pictures and your repair history. It's always good to hear of relatively small problems in a new RV. Sounds like you and your buddies are making good use of your vacation time! May 2014 be just as good to you!
