Slide outs, and big screen TVs dont rate now. Speed limit on 95 is 70, so we want to get where we are going now with no hassle. I think it will be a good decision long term. Its perfect for us, queen size walk around bed, big shower, bathroom sink, 2 burner cook top stove. Can't wait to go up Lancaster PA in Oct with the little thing :)New Coachmen Clipper 17FQWe just added a third camper to the family, have a 2008 Coachmen Chaparral 5th wheel parked perm. A 2016 Aspen Trail, and now a Clipper 2018 17 ft. We wanted something quick and small for long trips, no slides, and small tow weight for the interstates. Anyone thinking this route (down sizing)for retirement time? No retired yet but getting close. Got her all fixed up ready to roll. Looking forward to many trips to Myrtle Beach and some higher elevations.Re: Camping in V Beach first time @ Holiday Trav-L-ParkThanks everyone, you been a big help, I called for sites today, can u believe just about booked up! Does the S park have any sewer hookups? I got a spouse who hates lining up at the dump stations. We just plan to hang out beach wise for the week.Camping in V Beach first time @ Holiday Trav-L-ParkLooking for suggestions for sites at the Holiday Trav-L-Park – Virginia Beach. We are only 25' hate to get super site, reviews say older part of campground sites are very very close. Any one have a fav back in site that's not a $72 super site there? It is on the ocean side of 12, cement pads for you to set up on, dog friendly and bath houses are clean if you need them. They close up on Nov 15th. October may be good time to get reservations but I would definitely call NOW as they book up very quickly. Just looked at website, REALLY looks good! concrete pads the works! I will contact them this week and see what is available. Thanks for your help!Re: Outer Banks suggestions? Pat & Karen wrote: Camp Hatteras is a very nice camp ground right on the ocean. Don't know if they allow GC's. The other camp ground we liked a lot is Hatteras Sands in the village of Hatteras. It's not on the beach but it's very close. 5 minutes from the Ocrakoc ferry. Both have web sites. Have fun. We love the OBX and can't wait to get back there. Have fun. I did email Hatteras Sands and they said cart was ok. pets ok, got 2 sites for us, so sounds good. Just cant pin down hat week yet, other couple wife is a ER nurse, so got to wait for her dates. Thanks so much for advise!!!Re: Outer Banks suggestions? lawnspecialties wrote: How much of a priority is the golf cart to you? I'd check on that for each campground beforehand. Not to steer you off track. But Ocean Lakes in October is really nice and you can ride that golf cart to your heart's content. Yes you are so right, the other couple just left there and find they are only ones allow outside carts, we don't use one for travel but our friends do. Prob will wind up there if we g SC way. Thanks!Outer Banks suggestions? We had planned on a Mrytle B trip, but 10 hrs of driving might not be for us right now, love it there, ...but. any whoooo whats a great place to stay at OB in Oct?
