Try this : build a cradle out of plywood with three sides , put the AC on it with the no side facing up on a ladder laid at an angle from ground to top of camper.The ladder need to be long enough give a not too steep angle, the top rung of the ladder has to be higher than the roof top at least the lenght of the cradder. Hook a 12 volts winch to the top rung of the ladder , hook the wire to the top of cradder and winch it up. if you can find a remote control winch (real cheap at Hardboard Freight ) you can do it alone. Hello guys :Get the generator started ! After a day checking all connections thru the process of elimination ,everything normal , OK except teh generator won't start before Dropping the generator to work on starter I put a a jump cable from a fully charged battery direcly to generator even it shown get 12.8 V. It starts right away, even with the remote. Take the battery off it 't not start, bring the extra battery hook to the built-in it work again. Turn out my built in are shot but somehow still give me 12.8 for light,pumps ,jacks but not enough amps to start the generator.That 12 Volts Interstate white/green looking only two years old! I don't know how the previous owner took care of it ,when I got it do the normal thing. equalize charged it put in lot of distilled water ,it got weaker when run all the slides,jack set up but recharged ok .So get new batteries and some extra on the way. Well Peg Leg That is exactly happen afterward ,adding to frustration ,get the gas floowing after the ice thaw out , double check the line... but don't understand the nature of the problem untill now. Thank you guys ; it kind of strange it been start on first crank and running smoothly so i don't suspect any big problems .One things I discovered with the LP generator is that it a gas hog and the time it shut down it suck gas so fast the tanks ice up.when thing cool down I chech and there is 12.8 V on the positive Booths leading to Generator.Also notice the oil is low,thinking may be a low oil shut down fill it to the top mark but it still won't crank over with the remote button or the switch on the generator.All fuses in the camper are good, I guess Ineed to open the access around it and start check out all electrical connections fuses and may take the starter out as you guys pointed out. Just to let you guys know I hane been frequent the forum and learn all about RV Truck camping ,get the right equipments, installed ties down, air bags.... all from you guys:So here is my thakns for sharing. Hi , just freshly getting into Truck camper RV, the second trip the generator ran out of LP ad stop ,after replace the bottle with new one retart the generator it won't start. Any tips of what to look for trouble shooting? It's a 2010 CummingsonanRVQG 2500 LP model 2.5 KVD 5242B with remote start/stop. there are 12.8 v at the unit, starting switch on unit are not doing anything, Any help?
