I had no idea those tanks would flex so much.Re: Black Holding Tank Loose?Yes, the strap is visible at the cleanout end, and I wonder why they use those instead of a metal bracket with a rubber cushion? Taking it in to the shop next month for surgery -- no camping until after that.Re: Black Holding Tank Loose?Jerry, Okay, that could be it. But if a full tank vs. empty has a sag of an inch, that seems to be more the hangers, rather than the actual tank bending, wouldn't it? When the tank was filled, I could not push up at all on the poly box bottom, but when empty, it gives an inch. Cutting an inspection hole in the box sounds like a good next step - thanks.Black Holding Tank Loose?95 Lance camper Model 880. Holding tanks are covered with a large poly box/surround with insulation inside. When the black tank is full, I cannot push up on the bottom of the poly cover. When the black tank is empty, it's fairly easy to move the bottom up an inch. I'm thinking that at the far end (non-drain) the securing strap is broken and allowing the tank to rest on the bottom of the insulated poly box. Not good, but just wanted to confirm that the tank is not supposed to be sitting on the bottom of that insulated box. If my suspicions are correct, it sounds like a major job.Re: Torquelift Stable Load A7200These Sulastic Hangers -- They appear to be mounted to the front end of each of the normal load leaf springs. I presume they provide some level of cushioning at that point? Also I noted that the Stable Load 7200 can be trimmed down a maximum of 5/8 inch if the interaction with no load is too tight. Anyone done that with comments?Torquelift Stable Load A7200Just had these installed on my 2005 F-350 Super Cab holding my 94 Lance Model 880. They now fully contact the overload springs, and the ride is noticeably less sway. However it is now stiffer on rough roads. I have the Rancho 9000 adjustable installed and right now the rear are at 8 and front at 7. With these Stable Loads, should I back off on the Rancho settings to help with rough road stiffness?Changing Batteries: F-350 Powerstroke 2005Okay, I'm stumped, and I'm sure it's much easier than it looks. However the battery on the driver's side seems to have a larger plastic cover over it that is clipped, locked, or bolted down over the top of that battery. It wiggles a bit, but I sure can't figure how to remove it so I can change out the battery. Passenger side -- appears to be quite simple, like a normal battery mounting. Any ideas or suggestions? Ford User Guide is no help. thanks to all you experts.Truck Camper Struts - Good? Useless?Lance model 880 (10'9") Extended. Ford F-350 Extended cab with Rancho 9000 shocks. Any reason I should pay $800 to have struts installed?Trolley/Cart for Lance CamperI've been offline a while. We may need to dismount our 2005 Lance Model 880 and move into covered storage. Any recommendations for a trolley or cart that is designed for moving the camper after it's off the truck? Ready-made, or your own designs. Thanks!Re: Camper Parked; Freezing Overnight; No One InsideThanks for all suggestions. No ac, so other ideas are relevant. Headed off now to the cold country.
