No. I added an extra sensor to that when I put sensors on my trailer.Re: Storage compartment door issueOn a previous unit, I had basement doors that had no locks. The foam material was inadequate to secure locks to, so I removed the doors, carefully scraped most of the foam material from the back side of the door, and cut and glued a piece of plywood in place of the foam. I made sure that the hinge screws went into the plywood by using a much longer screw, so that the door was properly supported. Can’t remember if it was 5/8” or 3/4” ply.... I had that unit for another 7or 8 years, and it was still fine when I traded it. A benefit was that I was able to screw storage clips to the back side of the doors to store small items like the stabilizer crank and the 30 to 15 amp adapter....Re: Morryde Easy Reel Cord Reel vs. Economy Reel vs. Lippert???I added the MorRyde manual reel as an aftermarket modification. It was available as a factory option at twice the price I paid, and I really didn’t like where they were mounting them.Re: Who actually enjoys towing?Depends on wher I’m headed.... if we are headed south, down the east coast, I need to get through the NYC - NJ area.... that’s a non-forgiving combination of roadways, where EVERYONE is in a big hurry, and could care less if they cut you off, block a lane change, or some other nonsense. Once I’m beyond that area, on the open road, it’s no problem, and I enjoy the drive...Re: campers for 10 peopleMy signature unit will sleep 10, with 6 being adults, but it's a big 5'er.... 2 in MBR, 2 or 3 in loft, 2 or 3 in bunk room, 2 on fold-out couch.Re: Thousand islands and Finger LakesIf it's scenery that you are looking for, in NYS, it's a little longer run for you from KY, but head for the Lake Placid/ Willmington area. We stayed at the North Pole Resorts CG last July 4, and years ago I had stayed at the local KOA. Both were nice, though my KOA stay was more than 10 years old. There are also some very nice State run CG's in the area, though most are "no hookups". The ski-lift ride up Little Wilmington is breathtaking all year long. And you are on the historic slopes from the 1980 Winter Olympics were held. The drive and elevator ride through the mountain rock the top of Wilmington Mt. are amazing and then you will be absolutely blown away by the views from the summit. The Village of Lake Placid is just that..., still a village! Shops, bakeries, some outlets, ice cream shops, taverns and brewpubs, and of course, the Olympic Arenas (1932 & 1980). Rent a pair of skates and take a couple of loops around the arena where the Miracle on Ice occurred, what the USA beat the USSR hockey, and then won the Gold Medal.... There are beautiful views all along both branches of the Ausable River (great fly-fishing for trout, as well). The ski-jump and the bob-sled both operate all summer long, on synthetic surfaces, and you can ride the bobsled! And if you are into hiking, I can't even begin to explain all of the options..... I work for NYS, and travel Statewide on a fairly regular basis. Believe me, you can't do better for scenery and views in NYS than the Lake Placid /High Peaks Region. Send me a PM if you have any specific questions... there are some times that you absolutely want to avoid. Black fly season (Memorial Day through most of June) and IronMan Week (unless you like huge crowds)....Re: Thousand islands and Finger LakesEach has virtues..... if you like to visit wineries anc cheese houses, head towards the Finger Lakes, especially towards Seneca Lake. Touring, lighthouses, castles, crossing into Canada, then Thousand Islands. Both have beautiful scenery. What do you like to do?Re: Card games, board games what do you play?If it's just two, backgammon. Three or more, first choice is Mexican Train...Re: clip on mirrors? The only add-on mirror that I ever found to be worthwhile was the set of McKeesh Mirrors that I used for 12+ years. Very solid, no vibration. There's a company that sells a copy-cat of the McKeesh, but they are of much lesser quality....
