I took the coach into La Mesa RV, where I bought it. The service manager took one look at the solid red led lit up on the small, square 'recall circuit board', and said he thought he could fix it easily. He came back with a magnet, which he scanned horizontally across the top of the recall ckt board - with the cover still in place - several times, but the light didn't go dark. He called one of the mechanics out, and this guy first place another small (but powerful) magnet on the left edge of the rectangular, raised area on the lower part of the cover, then began swiping another magnet across the top edge. after about 15 or 20 passes, the led went dark and the problem was cleared. They were not able to tell me exactly what this process 'resets', but they've done it several times before and none of their previous customers has returned with the same problem. They didn't charge me. Pretty cool. So now I have 2 magnets in my tool box in case this happens again. Thanks again everyone for your input. I hope this explanation helps you down the road. SanDiego DaveRe: norcold fridge, no display - blown fuse?Sorry, been running like a dog. I just re-read the posts from Dennis and 'Old-Biscuit', which describe the recall pretty well. Thanks guys. The only trip we have planned is a weekender at a local State Beach park. we can manage with coolers for a couple of days. I would sure hate to bypass that recall circuit and have a major issue result. We'll see what the shop guys have to say. Later, DaveRe: norcold fridge, no display - blown fuse?I pulled the cover off the circuit board in the compartment behind the fridge, and found the 2, 5-volt fuses. Both check out OK with an ohm meter. I think that's as far as I'm going to go with trying to fix this myself, made an appointment with the repair shop. I did buy the extended warranty, so it should be covered. I still don't know what that small add-on circuit board with the red led is all about. Someone mentioned a recall. Would that ckt board be associated with a recall that happened before I bought this rig about a year ago? I'll also ask the guys in the shop what they know about it. Thanks again everyone. I hope to see you down the road one of these fine days. Later, DaveRe: norcold fridge, no display - blown fuse?Screen refresh showed me some additional responses. Again, thanks so much for all the help guys, and I also appreciate the warning. I'll check for blown fuses. If it's more in depth than that, I won't be digging into the electronics of our new, and in my world - very expensive, motorhome. I know my limitations in this regard, and I know what a nighmare this could turn into with a rookie mistake. thanks again everyone. I'll let you know.Re: norcold fridge, no display - blown fuse? Thanks for the info guys. To answer one question, no the fridge does not work. I did see the small circuit board that looks like an add-on of some kind, with the red light - on solid. I don't have any documentation on that, so not sure what a solid light (vs. a blinking or dark light) tells me, and I never looked inside that panel when the fridge was working to see what that light normally looks like. I'll pull the cover off the main circuit board behind the fridge and see if there are any fuses blown on that board. It's kind of buried, which is why I posted this question - I was hoping someone would tell that there was another, easily accessible fuse panel that I had not found. oh well...Thanks again everyone!norcold fridge, no display - blown fuse?I'm fairly new to RVing, bought a 2006 Dolphin LX about a year ago, with a Norcold 12 cu. ft. fridge. I'm getting no display on the control panel. Looks to me like no DC to the control panel, which could very likely be a blown fuse. I found DC breaker panel and nothing is popped there, but I can't find the fuse for the DC supply to the fridge. Any suggestions?
