Drive for a day or two and spend some time in the Black hills and then carry on another day to Yellowstone. Find some thing else on the way back to break it up as well or you could even stop at Black hills again and in Wisconsin Dells or something like that. HRe: Trailer lights - Need AssistanceSounds to me like a poor ground. See if you can take a piece of wire and hold it to the body of the light bulb and a known good ground. If the light clears up then the ground is the problem. It may even be a poor connection between the socket and the lamp base or between the socket and light. HRe: Wheel Bearing MaintenanceI read something on this and it made sense to me. If the trailer does a lot of sitting, the bearings will make marks on the race and therefore should be done once a year. If it does a lot of moving (fulltimers), you can go a lot longer between services. I was wondering this as why should a trailer be done annually while a automobile goes for years between servicing. That is how it was explained to me. HRe: Health insurance for CanucksLast year we got our best deal through VISA HRe: Bringing lots of water? If you buy the big tank, you need a plan for emptying it. HSomebody's vacation got ruinedOn Thursday afternoon, Highway 16 on the west side of Edmonton AB, I noticed something in the west bound lane as we were going east. I said to my wife"someone must have lost a container or something on the road. As we got closer we noticed that it was about a 24 or 26' travel trailer laying on its side. There was a fairly new Jeep Grand Cherokee still hitched to it and upright but the back end was about 3' in the air. Not sure exactly how long the trailer was but it and the Jeep took up all three lanes and both shoulders. Wasn't windy so not sure what happened but it sure looked like not enough truck for the trailer. Hope they were alright HRe: Beward of MAAD / Goobers Service in Beaver, UTYup, they tried the same thing with my trailer tires. Even followed me to the parking lot after I fueled up to show me, but then I had "dirt" on the tires and it was "hard to see". Funny thing is 6000 miles later they don't even look that bad. Had another about 100 miles east of there on the return trip where they told me they could hear my trailer brakes dragging and when I touched the wheel in front of them and told them it wasn't hot, they found something else to do. I knew as I had checked them about 5 min before they showed up. One thing I always try to do is when I put the truck in park, I do a walk around and check each tire and wheel for temp and then go back and turn off the truck and do what ever I stopped for. It helps when dealing with people like Goober HRe: Lake Havasu Citythank you for the replies. Now just have to get there in time to get a spot D&HLake Havasu CityWe are thinking about going to LHC for the fireworks and was wondering if it was still possible to boondock across the highway from Sara park. Have not been there for a number of years and was wondering if anything has changed. If that is not possible, any suggestions? We have stayed by the airport but that is a lot of driving and we have heard that it is not as nice as it once was. HRe: Traveling to San CarlosThnank you for all your replies. We are going there as my wife found a person on facebook that was my best friend growing up who lives there, and he said come on down. D&H
