Bought 2009 adventure, new, junk. Only thing operating well is the Ford components. I have resolved with myself, following much discussion, and dealer service time; that they are not capable of satisfactorily correcting the concerns. I have taken upon myself that we are going to have to live with it. Learn how to fix what can and live with the rest. Wish there was a way out-----------paid for, no real valve on trade-in, or selling. It's more than a lemon. the only mistake was I bought it based on Winnebago past history--------stuck.98 bluebird LXi 43ftroof has started leaking under the roof aluminum walk deck. looking for diagrams on how deck attached to roof. so i can remove deck, correct issue of leakage, and replace walk deck correctly. help would be appreciated.norcold refhave single door norcold ref., had unit turned off for 2 weeks while dealer did some body paint. Driving a 36 foot gas MH with toad. appears can take I-40 to I-81, N226 to US-23N to I-81, or I-26 to I-81. I have noticed in the last 6-7 months appears a lot of motor homes are pulling jeeps, small trucks, mid size suv's. My motor home came with 10000 pound roadmaster hitch and bar, brake buddy system, break away electrical hookup and the dingy towing light set up. My concerns are the motor home is only rated for gcw of 24000 pounds. The weight of motor home with full, supplies, bicycles, and two adults is at 21345 pounds. What can I do to be able to pull my chevy equinox with a wet weight of 4400. The motor home has larger assisted brakes, additional torsion bar at rear, front sway bar, heavier shocks, improved cooling for engine and trans, and Banks Pac added to engine. I feel their is no problem with handling the tow behind, Since previous owner was pulling four door jeep safari. But overweight!!!!! What to do, appears legally I can only tow about 2600 pounds, which seems ridiculous for a class A motor home.Re: reliable componentsWe will be staying at places with full hook-ups. We usually stay 2 weeks -four weeks before relocating. Sometimes it takes 3-4 days to change locations. Not completely sure of the amount that can go into the project, but should have that determined soon.Re: reliable componentsWe leaning towards a diesel, because would like to pull full size vehicle(Tahoe). I am also 6ft 7inches tall at 280pounds. We will be covering all types of conditions in either a motorhome or fifth wheel. I do like the idea of more room in the cockpit and sitting higher that a motorhome gives. We are in the ministry, traveling to children's homes throughout the US, Mexico, Canada, Alaska.reliable componentswife and I are looking at being full-timers and we could use help in determining what components have given you long term full-timers least amount of problems and best service. Using your least we will make an effort to obtain a RV that has those items. Hopefully this will reduce having to buy several times and can get it pretty close to right the first time. Some questions are which companies provides the most reliable leveling jacks, slide out mechanisms, roof hvac, chassis, electrical systems, appliances, heated floors or ducted heat, refrigerator, slide windows or push-out windows. rubber roof or fiberglass, generator, etc. We are not be in a position to buy a new top quality fifth wheel but will look at a used one. Thanks for your help. Don't want to get caught up in the glitter and not have quality.reliable componentswife and I are looking at being full-timers and we could use help in determining what components have given you long term full-timers least amount of problems and best service.
