It was the shifter motor that was out of calibration. They had to order one from somewhere in the midwest but it's fixed.Allison 2500I hope this is not too vague. We have a 2014 Fleetwood Excursion 33D with the 300 HP Cummins and (what I think is a) Allison 2500 transmission. We bought it new off the lot in March or 2016 and it's under full warranty. Either way, we are having problems. Occasionally in the past, I've attempted to put it in drive by pressing the D button on the selector. Nothing happened. I presses the R button, felt it shift and saw the jump on the tachometer that indicated the shift. After a few seconds, I pressed the D button and it went right into drive. This happened several times, almost always on a 'cold' start up. One time, the transmission shifted to neutral as I was driving through the cul-de-sac at the end of our street. It may have been in first gear. Kinda of freaked me out. This was the real problem. A couple of trips after the driving shift to neutral, we attempted to leave a campground near our home. I pressed the D button and NOTHING happened. It would go into reverse but never into drive. I attempted several button presses and combinations but nothing happened. Finally after about 15 minutes or so, it shifted into drive and it went perfect all the way home. A few days later, we took the RV to the camping world that had been doing the warranty work on other items (That is a completely different story and a perfect example of near incompetence). The RV started up fine and performed flawlessly the trip there, about an hour fifteen minute drive. When I asked the service writer if they cold look at it, the writer asked the service manager who said no, we would have to take it to Fleetwood. I'm open to suggestions and will answer any relevant questions. My thanks.Re: Grayton Beach State parkWe love GBSP! We ride bikes from the CG to the beach and I set up my pier cart to carry the cooler, umbrella, towels, etc. Going back this summer!Re: Battery Issue enblethen wrote: Sounds like they may have blown that 300 amp fuse for the inverter. Nope. Ohm's out perfect. Same voltage both sides.Battery IssueWe are supposed to leave for Camp Freightliner tomorrow. We went to the local Interstate Battery location this past Saturday. That is took them 2.5 hours to replace 6 batteries is not the problem. The problem is that now, nothing 110v works inside the camper. I had to start the engine to crank the generator and all was good. We brought the camper home this afternoon to start the load out. Again, I had to start the engine (with out the block heater) to start the generator. I arrived home, plugged into shore power and turned on the refrigerator. I had lunch and before I went out on a service call, I checked to see what was happening. The Intelletic panel which does the load shed was dead but the Xantrec panel showed all good. (I wish that I could post a picture) Behind the converter is a gizmo that said Mexico (as in Made in) and 300. It looks like a fuse. A big ass fuse. I only show 3.3 volts there but at the batteries, 4-6 volt wired for 12 volts (series/parallel)shows 12 volts. Local camping store can't see us for a day or 2 and the Battery place is a write off. Help?Re: Washer/Dryer ComboWe have the vented Splendide in our Bounder. We love it. The biggest issue is simple. It dries HOT and as a result, it may shrink certain clothes. Now, my 2 year old grand niece can wear some of my extra large Hawaiian floweredy shirts.Re: BatteriesI just replaced mine on Saturday. I'd go 4 6 volt if you have room. Don't let them get below 50% charge and you should be okay.Re: Norcold recall box red lightHere's my experience. http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/27194688.cfm It had a happy ending at least. Good luck.
