This will work only if your tailgate is hitting on the jack handle not the stem of the jack...Re: Differential fluid thoughts/recommendations... rjxj wrote: DownTheAvenue wrote: djgodden wrote: I'm getting ready to put a new larger differential cover onto my TV differential WHY? You think you know more than the engineers who designed and built your truck? leave it alone and follow the manufacturers requirements regarding type of fluids and change intervals. It's not doing less than or worse than as engineered, it's doing more for the life of the drive axle. More oil for cooling, longer change interval, temp probe port, magnet, drain plug. What's wrong with more? Running below designed temps is not always a better thing... In order for the aftermarket cover manu's to claim that its better they would have to do as much testing as the OEM and I'd be willing to bet they don't have the funding or manpower to do that...Re: Removing tiresSo I take my 5500lb trailer and drive one 3500lb axle up on ramps and take 2 tires off rated at 1820lbs each is the safest???Re: Switch from 30 lb. to 20 lb.propane tanks? Why bother converting to gallons? 2 x 15 lb short fills is exactly equal to 1 x 30 lb large cylinder properly filled. (The pound capacities are net capacities, and already take into account the needed headspace. A 20 pound cylinder would hold about 25 pounds if improperly filled to the very tippy-top...and vent some of it the moment it got at all warmer.) I always convert to gal as a habit b'cuz no one charges me per pound only $ per gallon :)...Re: Switch from 30 lb. to 20 lb.propane tanks? rhagfo wrote: YamaDooed wrote: If you don't run the heat much in the camper I'd say for most the 20lb tanks are fine...
