ThanksVictron batter monitorHello, I sold my old RV a while back and took out the Victron 712-smart. I did not take the shunt or the power cord so I need new ones. I can find the shunt for sale on line but not the power cord. Does anyone know where I can get one. Could I use some other connection. Please advise Thank youRe: Strange sounds from the kitchen sinkFound out the park is having the sewers worked on. That's what it was ThankStrange sounds from the kitchen sinkHey All, Help me out here. I am sitting in the RV doing some work and all of a sudden, I hear a gurgling sound from the kitchen sink. I first think a water line must of broke. I check everything and all is ok. That was weird. We have been set up here for a few days with full hook ups. The black tank value is closed and the grey is open. I checked my vents and everything is ok. It stopped after a few minutes but there was a smell of sewer. I was perplexed. After thinking about it I am wondering if someone up stream from me dumped their black tank and the force of the fluids pulled the air from my drain pipe. It sounds kind of strange but I can’t think of any other explanation. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Look forward to your help solving this mystery. Thanks as always, PhilWalmart overnight and running the generatorWhen you overnight at a Walmart or similar place and you are in the south or anywhere where it is hot all night long do you run your generator all night so you can use the air conditioner? We are traveling across country in a few days from Florida. We will be going across the south and through Texas. We are planning to stay at RV parks but if we have any issues finding a place Walmart or similar place is a possible option. We have only Wally World camped a couple of times but that was in the mountains where the temps cooled at night. Thanks for the input. PhilRe: Florida to Wyoming travel concernsThanks to all that have replied. We will go slow and easy. We have add a few days to travel time in case we have to alter our plans. I will report back when we get to Wyoming. Stay safe everyone.Florida to Wyoming travel concernsHi Everyone, We are leaving next Saturday for a 2-month trip. We are heading west form Florida to spend a week in Colorado and then the month of august in Wyoming. I am a little nervous about traveling to our destinations. I feel once we are there, we will be fine. We will be in a place that has less total case of the virus than our area is creating in a day. My questions are for those of you who are currently or recently traveled. How were the travel days? Did you have any problems finding open and available RV parks? Did you plan stops differently? Did you make reservations for each night or just wing it? What was your experience checking in at campgrounds? Did you feel comfortable and safe at the campground? Did you have any problems getting Fuel? Once we are in for the night, we don’t plan on doing much. Maybe a walk around the park and relaxing. That is really no different than our normal travel days. We are in a motorhome and fully self-contained so no concerns about public bathrooms. That is one of the good things about RVing. Our route takes us across Texas. There has been a big surge of cases there and I am wondering if this is the best way to go? I could go further north and take I-40 across missing most of Texas. I look forward to hearing what you all have to say and have experience during your recent travels. As always thank you and safe travels. PhilWater in fuel light came on then offHi Everyone, Coming home this weekend from Panama City Fl. we drove through serious rain the whole way. We even had to detour off I-10 due to flooding. It was rain from tropical storm Cristobal. Everything was fine until about 20 miles from home when the (water in fuel) light came on. I carefully kept going as there was no sign of anything wrong. The RV ran fine. The speed was the same, no sputter or hesitation. After about 5-10 minutes the light went out. We drove the rest of the way home without any problem. When we got home, I restarted the RV and no warning light came on. Yesterday I did the same and no warnings. I drained about ½ a cup of fuel from the Fuel /water separator and I did not see any obvious water in the fuel. I did some reading on this form and others and this seems to have happened to many during HEAVY rain. The sensor some how gets wet and the light comes on. I have a Cummins ISB 5.9 engine. If this has happened to anyone else, I would like to here your experience. Is there any thing I should be concerned about in the future? I could not find the sensor on the F/W separator. If anyone know where it is on my motor, I was thinking of using some dielectric grease on it to help prevent this from happening As always, I appreciate the help and comments. PhilI am looking for Vinyl StrippingHi Everyone, I am hoping that someone can help me with finding some vinyl stripping for the front of my motorhome. I need about 12 feet of two different widths. 8 inch wide x 12 feet long and 12 inch wide x 12 feet long for the front of the RV. If anyone knows of a place to purchase some please let me know. The only places I have found you have to get a roll of around a 100’ for a lot of money. I appreciate the help, PhilRe: Route into Buena Vista Co. then to Wy.Yes, I have heard about the rafting. We have done a lot of that in other parts of the country. I don't think I want to spend several hours that close to other people so we are going to pass on that kind of stuff. We need to keep our distance due to health reasons. We will do some hiking and enjoy the area. We will definitely check out some of the drives you suggested. Thnaks
