Just don't like the idea of having to pay for 2 years worth of registration for something that only sees occasional summertime use. I will look into those insurance agencies, thanks!Montana registration and insuranceI know that many RV'ers register their equipment in the state of Montana thru the use of an LLC and registered agent, which is exactly what I did. The issue I have now is insurance. I called my registered agent in regards to the issue but they were quite mum on the subject. What are you guys doing? MT insurance and use your registered agent's address as the home address for the policy? Set up your policy s a "corporate" policy or personal? My local insurance company won't let me add anything owned by my LLC so that is not an option. Interested to hear what you guys have done.Re: Need help determining what my hybrid is worthThanks guys I didn't realize Nada had a guide for campers. Yeah we bought it new. BIG upgrade from our previous (72?) Roadrunner of the same size.Need help determining what my hybrid is worthI have an 04 Antigua that we've outgrown and we're trying to decide what it's even worth. Everything works but there are a few cosmetic things going on here and there.Re: Somebody please explain my rear brakes to meThanks for the info guys! I am familiar with Hydroboost and am considering swapping my MH over to the HB type brakes. Just seems like less parts to wear out again over time. What do you guys think?Somebody please explain my rear brakes to meI have a 1975 Landau on a Dodge chassis and I'm perplexed by the rear brakes. Drum on the axle but there is a hydraulic line that runs to a small master cylinder and a vacuum booster, one for each wheel. hydraulic over vacuum brakes? Are these pretty reliable or am I better off going to a different type for safety/reliability? got a real spongy brake pedal and it appears the LR is leaking where the hydraulic line from the front ends. Is it common for the entire cylinder+booster to go out or are the boosters pretty robust? many thanks.Re: Aftermarket water temp gauge reads low due to wire length eastfizz wrote: I do not know what your altitude is, or how you are testing the gauge, however when I was testing a trans fluid temperature gauge with boiling water, it was reading about 200 degrees F when the water boiled. I thought the gauge might be bad or the wire was not large enough for the run to the trans from the gauge. After some checking, I determined the gauge was correct as water boils at about 200 degrees F at my altitude, 7100 ft. Hope this is helpful. Best regards, Lowell 7100 eh? I've got 2900 on ya:p Dunno if altitude is the issue or not but it might very well be.Re: Aftermarket water temp gauge reads low due to wire lengthThe sensor is the threaded sensor. On the intake manifold for my engine(440 Mopar) there are half a dozen ports it could screw into for the various CTO systems that engine used in various car/truck/non-MH configurations.Re: Aftermarket water temp gauge reads low due to wire lengthThe new gauge is a digital GlowShift http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/productimages/2010-blue-digital-gauges/thumbs/13_GS_BD_Water_Temp_Thumb.jpg There is a mechanical gauge on the engine and the new probe is as close to the old one as I could get it. It's funny because with the engine off and cold the new gauge is only 1*F off from the old one. The engine isn't close to overheating but I'm just curious as to whether or not this issue can be corrected or not.Re: Aftermarket water temp gauge reads low due to wire length Executive wrote: If they're saying it's because of the wire length, what they're really saying is the wire GAUGE is too SMALL. If you're using 18ga, bump it up to 14ga. If 16GA bump it to 12ga. You could also use a relay if you've already wired it.....Dennis Dennis- Running 18ga wiring. How would a relay help me out? The gauge measures resistance across a thermocouple and the long run of wire is between the thermocouple and gauge.
