You may have to go to a trailer dealer, NOT necessarily an RV dealer, who will have the right equipment and knowledge to diagnose the problem. Just to eliminate a problem with your truck or trailer, hook your truck up to someone else's trailer and see if it works. If it doesn't then you can be sure the problem is in the truck. Are all the other pins working (lights etc)? Are you getting juice to the brake pin at the rear of the truck? I am getting a pulsing power on the brake controller pin.ITBCOk now I have a problem with my Integrated brake controller, worked for a while now I get nothing on the dic when I hook up my trailer and I have taken my truck to the dealer and they say nothing wrong with the controller had 2 friends hook up their trucks and they see my trailer, changed the 40amp fuse still nothing changed the plug on the back still nothing. Any ideas anyone. Has anyone heard that if your brake pressure sensor is bad your ITBC might not work?Brake controllerOk I have a 2007.5 GMC 3500HD diesel with the integrated brake control, when I hooked up to my fifth wheel it used to show on the DIC "trailer connected" and when I pressed on the brake the led dots would increase with the amount of pressure on the brake, now I'm getting nothing, no trailer connected or dots when pressing the brake, I have a trailer emulator that I plug in to the truck and all the lights go on except for the brake controller light it pulses, anyone have any ideas? Manual I had the original manual but can't find it...doesn't really matter as the information about the adjustment is the same as it is in this one! Thanks That adjustment bolt is a bit of trial and error. You want it as snugs as you can go without creating a situation where the release handle is hard to pull. You should be able to use a standard torque chart for the bolt size and grade. If I recall they are 5/8" bolts and should be able to handle 90 ft lbs without any problem. I love mine! I got it in 1997 and it has served well in two trucks and with two trailers. I repainted it a few years ago and Hijacker sent me new labels. Since then they have sold the company and are no longer based in Victoria, BC.
