I have done some mods to her like 360 roof vents, new antenna, integrated stairs, etc. I recently saw the 2020 and 2021 models out that have a rear mounted roof access ladder. Does anyone know if there is built in support on these new models that the ladder mounts in to? I am looking at possibly adding a set to mine but unsure if it is possible. Thanks.Re: Extended Run Tank for Yamaha EF2000IS deltabravo wrote: wa8yxm wrote: The only portables I know of that work with ER tanks are the HONDA's they have an honest to Honda fuel pump.. Which Honda models have a fuel pump? Not sure about the fuel pump but I have twin Honda EU2200's with this dual feed 5 gallon tank. Runs for days even when I use the AC. https://www.amazon.com/IPI-Industries-Breeze-Extended-Generator/dp/B003BURT3C/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=honda+generator+fuel+extender&qid=1591896338&sr=8-8Re: Planning 2017 trips(Northeast)We have only been camping for a few years but some of our favorites are: Jellystone of PA in Quarryville, PA. http://jellystonepa.com/ We always get the pull thru sites and have friends stay in cabins near us. The PT sites are all concrete and have sitting walls. They have dual sewer hook ups and 50amp service at these sites. Many things to do (family of five with kids ranging from 9-20). 2 large pools and a kids water play zone. Splash Magic in Northumberland, PA http://splashmagic.com/ Spots aren't as big as Jellystone but very nice atmosphere. It has boating activities on the lake and fishing on the Susquehanna River. Adventure Bound Camping Eagles Peak in Robesonia, PA http://www.abcamping.com/abeaglespeak/ Very nice campground that just did some upgrades to the water area. New slides and kids play area plus new playgrounds. Pool has a swim up snack stand. Large open field for activities as well as a RC car track. Wooded sites are big enough for a 32'. Great resort.Re: Battery vs. Shoreline fan issueThanks for the info. I will check the fuses again. Thank you for the diagram, mine didn't come with a layout so this will help. And my selector has fan/AC/heat. Fan has a selector for lo/hi/auto and that is what i was looking to run on 12V. I have 2-6V batteries which were just replaced and I have about 256 amperes from them and they were fully charged. The fan ran before and this was the first time I had an issue with it only running of the generator power. Again, thanks for the info.Battery vs. Shoreline fan issueThis weekend I was dry camping and used my twin Honda gen set up and the air worked great as well as the fans. When i went off generator power, all I got was a click out of the fan solenoid. When I plugged back into the generator, it worked fine. Any ideas? I reset all of the breakers and checked all of the fuses. I do a few dry without generators and I am worried the fans won't work off battery. It worked before so I am not sure what is going on. I tried it on lo/hi and auto with nothing but a click. Thanks in advance for your help.Re: Fan still runs when connected to constant powerThank you all, the auto function on the thermostat worked. Appreciate the help as always.Fan still runs when connected to constant powerSo it may have been covered before but I have a question about fans/heat/AC. I dry camp a few times a year at a race track and run off of my batteries and charge off a small generator. But this year I stayed connected to constant power and my fan continued to run even though I was at the temperature on the thermostat for the heater. When i am on battery power, it shuts off unless it is on the fan setting. The AC and heat run until they meet their set temperature. So the fan was still blowing out of the top vents (not AC) and the heater would run normal until temperature. Any ideas of what it could be? I plan on camping at resorts and stay connected but don't want the fan running all of the time. Thanks.Re: Which GeneratorI had a Lifean 5600K inverter and I have to say that I was disappointed. Found out in the long run that very few shops will work on it let alone PM it. It was pretty quiet and ran everything in my camper. Now I have Companion Honda 2000's. The fuel cells are small but they run my A/C and lights no problem all night. I work at a racetrack in the summer and there isn't a noise requirement but I respect my neighbors. Have not had a problem with them. They are a bit more pricy than most but I will pay for a better product. I guess it comes down to what are you looking to power besides the A/C and are you in a campground or regulated state or national park. Check your decibel levels and start up versus running watts. Good luck.Re: Any hints on releasing the TT tongue from the ball???Make sure you have the lock slid back away from the ball. Also like others have said, move forward slightly to release the ball from the back half of the hitch lock. It relieves the tension. Do that after you chock the wheels of the trailer and before you start using the jack. Hope it works out for you, I had the same issue and it went away.Re: Generator to Power Palomino Canyon Cat naturist wrote: My guess, absent gross mistreatment in the form of bad/no maintenance on your part, the reason for the premature demise of the 5600 watt unit you used up in just one year is that you ran it pretty much full capacity a lot. So the first question is whether the 5600 watts rating was surge or running watts. Which ever it was, get the next larger size, and don't attempt to go cheap with a smaller capacity generator, whatever its brand. On the other hand, if the previous unit bit the big one because of zero or bad maintenance on your part, the only thing that will save the next one, regardless of brand, is proper maintenance. I wish it was something I did. Then I would have an answer. I took it to my local small engine shop for a look. The motor ran fine but the voltage was irratic. They tuned it and I ran it for another race but the battery tie down broke while it was running and it shut down when it arced and a fuse blew. Fixed the hold down and fuse and ran it the rest of the weekend. Now with the storm coming this weekend, I took it out to prep and the key turn just spun the starter with no motor turn. Shut it down and the bad white smoke started pouring out. My guy said the generator fried. Not sure how since everything was hooked up just as it was for the weekend race. It would cost almost as much to repair as it was originally bought for.
