I would love to see how the tow tabs were installed. I had a MG Midget that I towed 4 down behind the motorhome. Apparently the tow tabs, welded to the front of the chassis, were stronger than the chassis metal and it all broke loose when we were in FL. I trailered it to Georgia and sold it for what I paid. Good fun while it lasted!!Re: 19.5 tiresI have Bridgestone R250. I went up 1 grade to H spec. I also like Sumitomo's...I have them on the rear axle on one side( had a blow out)so will probably change the other side this year. I have Sumitomo's on my E350 Mercedes and they are great and a reasonable price too.CommunicationI have a claim processing for the Extended service plan. My email to claims with my corroborating invoice, ended up in their "Junk mail" box and after waiting 6 weeks it has just been found. Junk mail box at an insurance claims company.. what next??Re: Rooftop Cargo Carriertry the Sears X cargo.Re: Ford Chassis dougrainer wrote: ALL Class A motorhomes The wiper motor and Arms are aftermarket OEM installed. BUT, on Ford Class A chassis they still utilize the Ford Wiper control module. Usually you go back to the RV maker for motor and wiper arm and linkage parts. ROME TRUCK PARTS 1-800-284-4345 They carry almost ALL the various OEM supplier parts. Doug http://www.rometruckparts.com/x2 Great service . I get all my wiper parts from them. Re: Better handlingFind a good truck shop to do an alignment. Then do the CHF. Then if you need to open your wallet. I did the first 2 and can drive with 1 hand!!Re: Gasser guys and gals ...why not a diesel ? PastorCharlie wrote: 15 quarts of Motorcraft 15/40 oil and one oil filter for my diesel cost about $65.50. 7 quarts of Motorcraft 5/20 oil and one oil filter for my gasoline cost about $35.00 The difference in a diesel and a gas powered RV sitting in a campsite is the difference in the weight of the chassis and powerplant. One is a much heavier chunk of metal. On the road the difference is HP and TQ. Many diesels have less HP than many gasoline; many have more. Most diesels win in TQ. The heavier RV needs more energy to move it. Diesel wins hands down in the noise category; side by side and running the gas engine cannot be heard over the diesel engine noise. You missed the Fuel filter, possibly the coolant filter and the need for DEF and on newer engines the requirment of an exhaust recirc. There is also the DEF sensor shutdown problem which is not yet solved.Re: Reseal roof on class AAfter 10 years in the sun my fiberglass roof developed microscopic cracks. I used RV Roof Majic on my 35ft Georgetown. Cost about $450 and it took me 4 days to resurface the roof. I took off the AC units and painted the roof underneath the gaskets (1 day dry time). I now have a roof with no leaks.Virginia Good SamI'm trying to find out if the Virginia Good Sam club is still in business. The web site is disabled and I cannot get the exec staff to return my calls. Anyone out there that can give out information??Re: Gasser guys and gals ...why not a diesel ?Maintenance.
