Fuel rewards
Has anyone else had problems getting discounts on fuel at pilot and flying J? I have been in stations that would not accept my card at all or said I need to see cashier (a big problem at busy stations). Went in to see cashier at one and prepay, got to pump and they did not give my discount. What happened to insert card and get discount? Is membership not worth it anymore? Nonsense from Good Sam...
Got an email saying my membership was "Nearing expiration"... it does not expire until late October. I call in to go ahead and renew early. I give my card number to "Charles" and ask him to confirm that this renewal is for one year and he assures me that it is. A few minutes later I get a voice mail that I have been renewed for 3 years. I try for 15 minutes to callback in but now all of a sudden Good Sam is too busy to take my call. Finally got through by calling the 866 number vs the number left on my voice mail and get a different rep. He informs me that nothing can be done today and that I have to call back tomorrow... seriously? :h I asked him to just cancel my membership altogether and nope, I have to call back tomorrow and speak to a supervisor. :S Film at eleven...659Views0likes4Comments
Camping World no longer supports Good Sam membership
It has been my pleasure to be a charter member of Good Sam. Then the Good Sam club was taken over by Camping World. Since that time I have had to almost experience verbal altercations to receive the discounts I was due as a member of the club. I have been told: Charter members need to renew their memberships. Marcus you sent me a Lifetime Membership card and have been told numerous times that it was either invalid or needed to be renewed. TODAY WAS UNBELIEVEABLE: Went to a Camping World in Chicago and noticed that there was a few member price stickers around the store. Most everything had one price. I was told this is a "one price store." Was also told "Good Sam is no longer valid at Camping World" as well as "shop on line and you might get a Good Sam Discount." Why are you screwing us? One person said "you now get points for your purchases and after you spend $1000 you get ten dollars back." I asked how long the points last and was told 6 months." No more member discounts in stores
This just happened recently. I went into a Camping World today to check out a possible major purchase and to actually purchase something much cheaper. While at the register I provided my membership info and asked for clarification on the major purchase - if the priced was with or without my discount. I was politely informed that discounts have been terminated. They're now issuing reward points whenever you make a purchase, which can be redeemed on future purchases. It's amazing that I can get a dozen emails a year about stuff I don't need but they couldn't be bothered to notify members of this major change.1.4KViews0likes8Comments
Fall 2023 Adventure
I've got an El Monte C28 booked for September thru October later this year. I'm flying in from the UK and picking up in NJ I want to cover Niagara Falls, then down thru the Smokey Mnts. Blue Ridge to Memphis, then on to New Orleans. Returning back thru Alabama Georgia, South & North Carolina's, Virginia, Delaware, to NJ I don't fancy paying $130 a night so what's best a Good Sam card? a mix of Sites and Boondocking? How safe is it to just drive and then look for a site? I guess Niagara would be best to reserve before I come, but do I need to reserve everything or can I just "wing it"? Good Sam credit card opened in my name
Hello! I have no idea what Good Sam is other than it's obviously an RV company. I received an email last week stating "congratulations on your new Good Sam's credit card opening" I don't own an RV. Ive never heard of Good Sam. Someone has stolen my information and it's literally impossible to get ahold of anyone at the associating Bank due to needing the phone number it was opened with. How do you cancel a credit card when they are pretending to use your information wrongly when you can't even get in contact with the bank? I'm super frustrated.
