Today there is posted on our credit card a $1 charge from "GSE*GOOD SAM RV ERS". I've read on other forums that this may be a "test" charge from Good Sam to see if our card is still "good" so that Good Sam can charge it for any renewals.
The problem? Our GS Roadside Assistance subscription is good into October 2018, five months away, and is not on auto-renewal. Our Good Sam Camping subscription is paid until October 2019, also not on auto-renewal.
If this is indeed a "test" charge, it seems like Good Sam is doing so in a way most expedient for the company, and NOT in a proper business manner for the consumer (such as simply informing us a couple months out that the cc may be expired or expiring and for the us, as the consumer, to proceed accordingly).
If, as an example, Amazon does not feel the need to practice this, with their millions of customers using Prime on auto-renewal, then surely Good Sam does not need to, either.
