I managed to do a system restore to before the upgrade and things were back to normal. It appears to me this update is for Windows 8 and not Windows 7 and the comments about no problems with Win 7 are incorrect. I have turned off automatic updates and I will decline anything for Win 8 or features that have nothing to do with me. Rick in CobourgRe: Toaster/convection ovenWe use our RV oven as a bread box. We set up a convection toaster 0ven outside under the awning and it will do anything the inside one would do. We've baked cakes, roast beef and chickens, works great. We are going seasonal next year and will have an outside on-deck cooking center and the oven will be part of it. Rick in CobourgRe: Need new portable BBQVic46....X2 on the PortaChef from Broil King but this is a Weber Q forum and will always be so. PortaChef cheaper (price not quality), cast aluminum, porcelain cast iron grill, made in Canada. I fitted mine with a rotisserie burner and a spit and can do two chickens, roasts, etc. Also tall enough to do beer can chicken. Rick in CobourgRe: FM transmitterThanks everyone, I think I've got the info I need. Sch911, I do have the red/white/yellow outputs on the sat receiver but I'm using the HDMI port to connect the TV and I'm not sure I can then plug into the red/white for audio out as well. I'll use the headphone jack on the TV since that apparently will work OK. Rick in CobourgRe: FM transmitterRoyB.... do these transmitters work when plugged into headphone jacks? I have no line out on my sat receiver or television, only a headphone jack on the tv itself. RickFM transmitterHi again. I recently got a satellite set up for my trailer and want to be able to listen to the Galaxy music stations on a little Sony book shelf stereo, no audio in jacks for hard connection, no Bluetooth, just FM. I think I have heard of FM transmitters for this purpose but all I can see now are Bluetooth units and they all seem to be made for specific audio sources and geared for playing on car stereos. If anyone has any suggestions, preferably proven ones, they would be appreciated. Thanks. Rick in CobourgRe: Seasonal recommendationloulou57....yes you did. Thanks. The lack of services in PP's is a deal breker for me. samhain7....you probably mean Victoria Park. too close to home, might as well just stay in the house. Too crowded, both trailers and people. We're not "Waterfront Festival" type of people. I suppose seasonal could be boring but it sure would be less expensive. With the proper location it becomes a cottage and you can interact with your neighbours as much or as little as you want. As a means to get away for a while it would serve the purpose without having to pull the cottage with you. The proper location is key, hence my post. Rick in CobourgSeasonal recommendationI originally posted this in the RVing in Canada forum but only got one reply. I don't think that forum is very active so I'm re-posting here. I am considering going seasonal next year and I am seeking recommendations of nice seasonal parks with the usual amenities, some shade, maybe waterfront or waterview, and in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario, Canada. Any help is appreciated. Rick in CobourgSeasonal in Central OntarioHi. Thinking of going seasonal next year and am looking for recommendations in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario. Prefer quieter park with the usual amenities, waterfront or waterview would be ideal, some shade is essential. Thanks. Rick in Cobourg
