My motorhome has been sitting for a couple years as I was out of state. When I got back I had a nightmare of a clean-up to do. I have tried multiple products on the exterior. The ones that seem to work best are Bar Keepers Friend followed by TSP or oven cleaner. In any case it has required scrubbing with a stiff bristled plastic brush to make any progress. My pressure washer broke a couple years ago but it never really did much good unless the surface was pretty clean to begin with. Another thing is, It sits on a farm right now, with a well. I have to be careful with how much water I use 'cause the whole farm can run out of water. Pressure washing is a no-no this time of year. The coach is in pretty good condition aside from the exterior looking like it's been at the bottom of a lake. My back condition(s) aren't up to scrubbing the entire thing efficiently. I have some pix to show what I've done and what I'm up against. Door Scrubbed with BKF and TSP then partially coated with Zep (shiny area) The worst side. Getting the green stuff off is easy. It's the dirt that is in-bedded in the grooves that I'm working on (see door pic above). Re: Cleaning the sideThanks for the help! As suggested, this thread should be in the class C section so I am starting a new one there. My apologies to the moderators for duplicate threads.Re: Cleaning the side davepcpowernet wrote: 1991 Seven Seas RV is what the OP posted. It is a class C on a Ford E350. Would get much better answers on a Class C forum. Yes, my apologies, wrong section. I a moderator could please move it. Thanks!Cleaning the sideHi everyone, Vehicle: 1991 Seven Seas RV. My sides seem like raw fiberglass. What I mean is that the fibers aren't showing but small lines throught that trap the dirt. I'm going to clean the fiberglass sides of the RV for yet another year. I don't have a pressure washer anymore and it never did that well anyway. Over the years I've tried everything and the best was to use Bars Keepers Friend and TSP using a scrub brush. But... Since my back isn't getting any better I'm trying oxiclean with a wash broom...Applying it kinda thick. Letting it sit for an hour or so and then washing as normal. Haven't got to the hour-waiting part yet. If I can get it really clean this time I'm going to use ZEP floor polish to seal it so the dirt can't stick to those millions of little "grooves". I don't know what 'ya actually call them. Bottom line is that I need to get the dirt out of those little grooves before sealing. Any better suggestions beside the oxi-clean? Thanks.Re: Electrical outlets quit workingHey thanks everyone!!! It was the GFCI outlet in the bathroom. I didn't notice it was one. It's the only one of that type. I pressed the button and now all the outlets work again.Electrical outlets quit workingHello everyone, I have searched for an answer to this problem but no solution yet. I have a 1990 Cobra Seven Seas class c motorhome. It has been plugged in using an extension cord for the last couple years. Everything electrical has worked fine. Two days ago I unplugged the extension cord from the outlet in the barn for a few minutes to use the outlet for something else. After I plugged it back in, the two outlets in the living room and the one in the bathroom don't work anymore. The two outlets in the bedroom however, are still working. Refrigerator works. Stove fan works. Microwave works. Breakers are not popped and fuses are not blown. When I unplug and then replug in the extension cord on the outside of the rv, I can hear a clicking sound coming from inside the rv. I dont remember if it ever made that sound before because it's been a while since I plugged it in. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
