I've been a member since Camping World was located outside of Bowling Green, Ky and Good Sam was a club for RV people located in Ca. Now, it's just a "money-maker" for Marcus. Most of the "discounts" can be bought for less at many other places. Good BUY Marcus, Indiana JourneyRe: Membership Rewards Coupon Lwiddis wrote: That’s the rule. GS wants you to visit their stores. Clearly stated policy and fair IMO. When I renewed our membership the clerk did not say anything about any of these limits.Just that I would receive a "reward" for renewing our membership. In the past, the reward could be used on merchandise bought at that time. We didn't have to wait for the coupon to come in the email. Just another rip-off from good sam.Membership Rewards CouponI just recently renewed our membership at one of your stores. I was 800 miles from home when I did it. When I got home an e-mail was there to give me our "rewards" for renewing. One problem, it's only good for 30 days from the time of renewal. The nearest store is over 50 miles away and your shipping is extremely high. I'm not a happy camper.Fuel Discounts? We recently stopped at the Missoula, Mt Flying J for propane. After having our MH filled I went in to pay. The clerk said that they didn't honor the Good Sam discount. WHY???? Thanks for checking this out. Journey IndianaRe: Repairs and UpgradesOne of our friends started getting interested in having a motorhome to travel in. We had them drive ours to see what it would be like traveling down the road while driving and parking the motorhome. I told them that two of the important things to remember before buying was to have a place to park it and be able to fix things that might go bad. They bought a 4 new ones before getting out of owning a motorhome. The warranties would run out and they would buy a new one. After 4, they decided that they couldn't afford to "travel" like that Good Luck, Journey IndianaRe: Balancing tires, what's best?Spin balance. The beads/centramatics will cover up any problem that you might have with the tire or the rolling hardware. Most quality tire shops only use the beads in emergency situations, when changing a tire out on the highway, where a spin balance isn't possible. Good Luck, Journey IndianaRe: Not complaining, ventingBeen there, done that. Back in june we had a CEL on our 2004, 5.9/300hp and went to Cummins. They said turbo was stuck? It was the actuator. I said we are leaving for Seattle in 1 week, replace it. They called back the next day, exhaust manifold warped, replace it. We called them the Friday before we were supposed to leave on Sunday. Everything done, $5300+ w/Cummins club discount. It was the 4th turbo replacement in 98,000 miles. Cummins said, sorry, it's too old for consideration/help on the repairs. And so it goes. Good Luck, Journey IndianaRe: A&E awning fabricMakario's RV handles the acrylic replacement for your awning. Good Luck, Journey IndianaRe: Trip PlannerI liked the old trip planner better. It was easier to plan your rest stops and to get fuel at various stations as well as find campgrounds. Journey IndianaRe: Slide outsFirst, in my opinion, there are two reasons to make sure everything that you need is convenient with the slides in. You are at an area that you cannot put the slides out, like at a campground where it is too close to the slide side. Second, when the slide will not operate, like when the motor/cylinder won't work. Our coach is convenient to everything we need whether the slides are in or out. Good Luck, Journey Indiana
