All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsdirection assistance requestedGetting ready to go to myrtle beach this week and wondering if someone could assist me in deciding what route to take. I am leaving Rogersville TN. Go down 40 to asheville shows approximately 30 minutes quicker than go over interstate 26. I do know 40 has alot more traffic. I think both have approximately same amount of incline. Just looking for some suggestions. By the way, I am pulling a 42' fifth wheel around 15,500 in weight. ThanksRe: Front Living Rooms... yea or nay?We purchased the front living 2014 rushmore lincoln last year. We really like this unit. Our unit does have steps to the living and to the bedroom giving storage under living and bedroom. They have just actually changed the floor plan and removed the steps to the bedroom but now there is no storage under bedroom. I traded a cedar creek for this unit. We really liked the cedar creek but like the rushmore lincoln more. There is 2 sofa's in the living room. One sofa faces the tv and fireplace. This unit actually has a front windshield to look out. Again, everyone has their favorite RV and this unit meets everything we were looking for. pictureRe: Evergreen Bay Hill vs. Crossroads RushmoreI purchased a 2014 Rushmore lincoln the first of July. I have took the unit on 3 different trips. I did have a few minor issues on first trip but all issues were addressed by the dealer. My next 2 visits went event free. I know there is good and bad with all units and I have seen some negative feedback for the rushmores but personally I real like our unit and so far so good. I did buy a 5 year extended warranty just in case. You never know about the 5 slides or the 6 pt level system (I love the leveling system). I love the lincoln front living floor plan with the front window. You can see out but have the privacy where no one can see in. I also like the tv, stereo and fridge in outside compartment. The retail for this unit is upper $80's but it can be found in low $60 on line. I did find a few that were $59 but they didn't have all options.Re: Front Living Opinions and Manufacturer OpinionsRushmore lincoln has a windshield in the front. We bought one in July and we love it. Be careful though, there is quite a few negative on the forums due to quality issues. So far we are very happy with ours. I do have plenty of basement storage but there is steps to living room and to bedroom and bath. Also, plenty of storage in unit. Unit is actually 41 feet long. One sofa faces tv and the other sofa gives opportunity to look out front windshield or tv. Also table to eat or use computer at front sofa.Re: Rushmore Lincoln RF39LNI purchased a 2014 rushmore lincoln on July 6 of this year. I can only speak to my experience with this unit. I have used my unit 3 times already. I have spent one week at myrtle beach and 2 different visits to pigeon forge. When I got home with my unit I found that a technician had hooked up the battery backwards, this ruined my external radio but was replaced by me dealer. I also had a few led lights out in my awning, a small crack in the bathroom door and a broken outside storage door holder. Everything has been fixed by my dealership prior to my 2 trips to pigeon forge. I have used my air conditioners (both of them) on all 3 trips with no issues. They kept the unit very cool at myrtle beach when the temp was above 90 everyday. This past weekend we used the furnace 2 different mornings in pigeon forge with no issues. My wife stated that she liked this furnace better than the one in our cedar creek because it was quieter and heated the whole unit evenly. All 5 slide outs work perfectly so far. I know that there could be more issues in the near future but right now i am very happy with the unit. I did purchase a 5 year extended warranty. I figured with 5 slides, 2 inside frigs, 1 outside frig, 3 tv.s and all other appliances I may get my money out of this warranty. I just hope my dealership continues to take care of me.Re: Color bleed when waxing...I have a 2014 rushmore lincoln that is painted with decals. I planned to use 303 on decals but what should I use on the painted fiberglass.Re: duo therm issueThanks for all the assistance on this issue. I replaced the starter capacitor and found that the old starter capacitor had burnt a hole in the run capacitor. I then had to purchase a new run capacitor. Total purchase of 2 capacitors was $45. Everything was hooked backed up today and Air is working great. Planning on a trip to Lakewood campground in Myrtle Beach on July 7 to really give the air a workout. This is our first time at this campground. Hopefully, I will have an event free vacation.Re: duo therm issueWould it have damaged the run capacitor or compressor?Re: duo therm issuepic of capacitorLooks like I was lucky there wasn't a fire the small capacitor is burnt up pretty good and wires melted to terminal. Any ideas what would cause this? I would guess compressor is still ok. Plan on replacing both capacitors. Re: duo therm issueI just got off the roof and removed the cover of the ac unit. I did not see anything that looked like a cylinder capacitor. I see the compressor and a small tank cylinder beside compressor. There is a metal box where electrical wires come out. Is this were capacitors are found? The unit is on a 2007 cedar creek.
