Parking brake off!Re: 2007 Toyota AvalonUnfortunately as we loaded car ( taken on trips before) she said " oh the manual says to leave in neutral) a friend, owns his own ship, said same thing, in neutral ran the battery down. Charger on it now, hope it didn't screw up the key fob.2007 Toyota AvalonLoaded our 2007 Toyota onto our Demco dolly which does have a pivot pin (pulled). Didn't seem like much as we completed loading, put car in Neutral (as car manual says). Car wouldn't lock and a beeping sound from car if you walked away with FOB? Put in car, no beep? Ok.. BUT, stopping for night, got nothing, just couple lights on dash? Put charger on but lights all (not main headlights) were "glowing". Nothing "on" as far as lights. One thing I noticed, the steering wheel will not "lock" when in park position? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.Re: Michelin tires(Michelin Tires will take 500 to 1,000 miles to break in! It's the only thing that I don't like about Michelin Tires. I've had to endure this many times in my 44-1/4 years driving over the road on Michelin Tires. The Michelin Tires on my RV are aired up to 100 lbs. all around.) The age old "what do I inflate my tires at...my rig is not overloaded so do I need to go on (find) a scale? You put yours at 100 psi front and back, why? Some say closer to max PSI (on front tires) offers a better ride? I have 235/80R 22.5GPlanning a trip from Chicago to southwestWe have a tow dolly, easily been thru the "hills" around Chattanooga , now we want to travel for a month plus out southwest. Durango, Moab,Grand Canyon, Santa Fe,Zion in our 36' bounder. Any thoughts on roads to travel? We're going mid August,September Thanks!Re: Refrigerator Cooling, Propane vs. ElectricThe real question is...do you run propane while your driving ( vs having the generator on) ?Re: New to meHmmm wonder if they make a product you can add to my existing tow dolly?Re: When does the fear stop?We made the mistake a few weeks ago of heading from Chicago to Florida on a Saturday where the winds were "expected" to be gusting st 40-60mph . Loaded tow dolly in a snow storm. As soon as we were heading south on the open fields of Illinois oh brother... Trucks passing you you get use to the slight pull but under each bridge you got sucked in and immediately slammed in the side by the west winds. 5 hours, half a tank of gas to go 150. Exhilarating to say the least. If you slow down in a 65 mph zone to 45 use your flashers had too pass a couple campers doing 40. We finally stopped when we started seeing trailers overturned in the ditches. Sat the rest of the day ,night in a small rv park watching movies. Mentally your in charge up their ,stay on the right side of the road .Re: internet on the goWe use celcom based in Wisconsin. Great for phones internet. We live in the forest, no hard wired Internet use their wireless internet $35 a month. 3G Take it everywhere with us, even to Hawaii. Works great!Re: Windshield wiper replacementMost stores, auto stores only carry up to 28" . I decided in a lurch to buy the 28". Wouldn't work on my 2014 blunder as the mounts are larger on the bouncer for the wipers. The 28" was lightweight compared to 31" same brand .
